Love your matter-of-fact approach. This is taking me to areas of the fretboard I didn't know existed and pushing my playing to new levels. Thanks.

What a great lesson man. I’m getting back into playing, and I used to do an exercise like this but it never crossed my mind that it would quickly increase my general alternate picking skill. Makes total sense and definitely adding this back into the routine!

WELCOME BACK! I MISS YOU!! Great tips, as usual !!! :) My personal trick for improving my alternate picking is Radiohead's "Street Spirit" without touching the guitar's body with my right hand in order to improve precision ;)

Great lesson. I tried to learn villa lobos etude 2 using this technique but I gave up. This is the way eugene's trick bag should be played too, in the style of villa lobos.

Yes it's hard to pick arpeggios quickly using alt picking but even if you just get a moderate tempo it will still improve your overall alt picking game.

What are you working on at the moment? I was doing some faster "shreddy" stuff yesterday and I was thinking that I haven't seen a video off you in ages. I don't actually sweep pick anyway and don't particularly like the sound of it.

What about Sweep Picking
@BenHigginsOfficial6 жыл бұрын
You can still sweep arpeggios as well.. but this is a good technique to learn to help your overall alternate picking. So I recommend trying it even if you normally sweep

It'd be cool if you made tab of these. It's hard for me to follow your fingers note by note.
@guitarales4 жыл бұрын
It's Eminor arpeggio progression, he plays in order Em - D - C - Bm - Am - G - F#diminished. Google the single arpeggio or the progression and you have the tab ;)

A good lesson. My only suggestion is not to end so many of the examples with that exaggerated vibrato. I may be alone in this, but after a while, I find it annoying!
