I’ve been getting into edc in the last three weeks, I’ve watched plenty of videos but it feels like those KZbinrs focus on gear that is way out of my budget. One of the things I like about your channel is that you talk about the gear part of edc but also you make videos that I would consider “tips and tricks”. Thank you for what you do. Sincerely, J

Thanks Jason that means a lot! Gear is an important part of EDC, of course, and there are different budgets to work with; but more importantly to me, is how you use it and how effective the gear is in making your day and life better. No point in dropping hella money on gear that doesn't apply to you and your routine, right? Anyways, thanks so much and keep Living with Purpose 🙌🙌

A lot of KZbinr’s also try to sell you stuff, constantly. Some channels are basically commercials.

Your editing style and the contrast with the orange paracord made for an atheisticly pleasing video

I'm pretty much addicted to paracord for about 10 years. Whenever I get a new bag or pouch, I replace the zipper pulls with diamond knots and wrap the carry handles with cobra knots. Also, I like to finish off my snake knot knife fobs with a single diamond knot. Especially on smaller knives so it doesn't slip out my pinky finger.

That's awesome! Thanks for sharing how you use paracord in your kit, using those diamond knots as stoppers is a good way to go. Thanks for watching 🙌

Ron you point out an interesting dilemma. Blacked out everything vs. high vis where needed. And in my case, tactical (OD, sage, khaki) further complicating things. I have slowly introduced a broader palette of paracord fobs- but still lose my keys.
@RonKwok3 жыл бұрын
Haha not all of us can be saved. All jokes aside though, high vis would only be one way of sorting out lost keys. Reinforcing good habits like always dropping your keys off right when you get home at the same drop point will help minimize the problem long-term. Along those lines, keeping them always in the same pocket, being mindful whenever you pick them up, all help too. I personally wouldn't go as far as using a Tile or other GPS trackers. Tactical colorways look dope too, OD and khaki go well with black. Thanks for watching and good luck hanging onto your keys 🙌

Now I'm definitely gonna put some high vis paracord on all the zippers on my black backpack. Great content 🤟

Thanks man I appreciate it! You'd think the hi-viz would clash with the all black sleek look but something about that little added pop works. And it's functional too 👌

I love the orange!!! I would like to get that specific color. What brand is the paracord?
@RonKwok3 жыл бұрын
Glad you like it man! I got it off Amazon, it's the Paracord Planet 550 cord in neon orange. I also noticed the hi-viz varieties are a little more rigid, so tying the snake knots and fobs have exceptional feel to them

@@RonKwok haha yeah it's really easy for edc people (me at least) to be like "ooh other people are carrying that, I should too" but you explained paracord well enough to make me realize 1. I'm literally never in a paracord kind of situation and 2. If I ever get in one, I don't even have the skills to make use of it.

What kind of orange is this? Neon or burnt or something else
@RonKwok Жыл бұрын
It's the neon! Burnt orange is a bit darker (and for whatever reason the neon is a stiffer paracord, although still listed as 550 - I prefer the stiffer cord!)
