I am a 72 year old "Savant" in the field of energy and am trying to write a structured set of concepts for a prototype energy system. Since I have been retired from my former career as a laboratory technician that was in the field of analytical chemistry for several years, this give me time that could be possible to accomplish these goals. These goals would be overwhelmingly impossible in a corporate environment. The compilations of the derth organizational structure of everything involved is massive. Learning all of the quantum sciences and the research into the prototype concepts is extremely complex. All of this would be too daunting difficult a task if I was a "normal" person, but all of this is like painting a most beautiful picture of creation. Thus, the refining my writing is important for the final fulfillment of this ultimate challenging dream. Thank you for your help.

I have always disliked the idea of learning from Online Sources or from a Video since it doesn't provide as good enough as a class or Tutor since the Viewer and the (Content) Creator have no proper way of communicting, reviewing or attending to any real issues the viewer may have and while there may be certain videos that focus on the specific subjects that the Viewer needs for help, I never thought it would be of any assistance to the specific or troubling issues I had with writing. However, after watching this video, I have reconsidered many of my methods for writing. I'm used to Improvising and I have never been able to stick to a plan since I start writing during the examination only to think of a better idea than my original plan and end up getting carried away and writing a completely different passage altogether. Thankfully, this video will help me tackle this issue and I hope I can improve enough for my next exam. ............................. I doubt anyone read this whole comment.

Thank you so much for this video! I am having difficulty in writing test and this video is really useful. Nevertheless, my teacher said that we should not make a short sentence because it looks simple. She said we should not put a dot in the end of a sentence too early. Could you please tell if it is better to write a compound, complex or simple sentence in a writing? AndI notice that you did not mention much about vocabulary we use in writing, is it nessessary to use advanced words? Thank you a lots!

It's true that in some exams (and I'm thinking of IELTS here, but it applies to other exams, too), you need to use more complex sentence structures and vocabulary to get the highest marks. However, I think that the point I made in the video is still true: you should only use complex structures and complex vocabulary if they are necessary to express your ideas. To get a good mark for a writing exam (like IELTS writing), you need deep, well-developed ideas as well as advanced language. Complex ideas will require the use of more complex language to express them clearly. In any case, I recommend that you never use a more complex sentence or more advanced word just to please an examiner. I see this a lot and it never works well. Use complex language to express your interesting, complex thoughts, instead!
