I really enjoyed this video!! yes sometimes I find myself wanting to play badminton right away after watching so many badminton videos or matches and now i can practice at home! i have a few video requests if possible: please make more videos on badminton practices at home, how to do an attacking clear, and how to move to the backcourt without feeling like you're going to fall backwards or twist your ankle, many thanks!

Did the same as a kid. Practice my backhand serve aiming at different items at my desk. Broke a thing or two ( once destroyed my ceiling lamp and a yonex widebody. The last one was worse... )

thx 4 this Jeff, I always practice dribbling like you did but my net shot is not as "thin" as I used to. But you suggest to keep it stay up and down and at certain height. I'd like to try practicing your method after this.

Very informative. How about practicing the smash at home? Would be glad if you can share your technique for this. TIA.

😅😅😅 I’m not sure if you can effectively practice your smash at home. Maybe you can practice your form or do some physical exercises

Badminton with Jeffrey Okay thanks. I always wonder where to get the power to make smashes steeper. Thanks.

Tell us about your racquet, guts and which shuttles do you use?
@BadmintonwithJeffrey5 жыл бұрын
I use a voltric 80, BG65, 28lb tension. Shuttles... Yonex AS30 or Aeroplane usually

Does this also improve your accuracy with other shots ?
@BadmintonwithJeffrey5 жыл бұрын
Hmmm I wouldn’t really say so. The net shot is sort of it’s own category, I don’t think other shots share the same delicacy and movement.

You have learnt badminton from academy or by yourself...??

I trained intensively with a coach for three years during high school :) now I’m still teaching myself by studying Lin Dan and analyzing my recordings

How is this even relevant to the actual spinning net shot??? I really appreciate the fact that you are a badminton enthusiast but try to get better at the game first before doing tutorial videos. Teach people the right technique.
@BadmintonwithJeffrey5 жыл бұрын
It’s actually quite relevant. It gets you used to the feel of the bird and helps you with the timing of when to hit the bird when it’s spinning. It’s how I personally got my touch for my net shots. I’d love your feedback on my other videos though. Always open to constructive criticism on my game and how I can improve :)
@powdodo44065 жыл бұрын
How is this relevant? do you know Cai Yun? No I guess you don’t. He and Fu Haifeng were Olympic champion for MD, he’s best known for his net skills. retired now he’s running a on line badminton school and one of his most popular courses is solely dedicated to once thing and one thing only: this is what Jeff is teaching you here
@BadmintonwithJeffrey5 жыл бұрын
Wow! I didn’t know he has a online badminton school now :o!
@powdodo44065 жыл бұрын
Badminton with Jeffrey hi if you have wechat and search for Caiyun you will find his course. Very interesting for overseas badminton fans lovers
