With regards to the hand placement, do you think it’ll vary on hand angle, I’d feel most CrossFitters have a slight angle where as gymnastics seem to maintain a more parallel position

It’s ur core. When the core is weak the back arcs . Work on the hollow hold position and do extra ab work for best results

Helpful video with good regressions but a wall-assisted handstand pushup isnt a strict HSPU. These tips work great for wall-assisted, but will have very little translation into strict HSPU off the wall. The alignment, elbow flare, head positioning, and anterior-posterior disequilibrium will inevitably result in uncoordinated and unbalanced free-standing HSPU.
