Huge debrief guy here and I know it wouldn’t please the algo’s appetite as much as a quick ending but it would be cool to see a debrief at the end of every interview. Love the show!

Thank you for sharing this conversation with a wider audience. I've been struggling to find a balance as a creator recently, and the practical advice about the stress curve and "shutting it down" when trying to do too much at once was exactly what I needed to hear. 🙏

This was a fascinating listen. At the beginning of the video, Colin said that speaking with Peter Attia changed his life - I definitely felt that way about this episode. Truly so many worthwhile insights on balance and living a present and productive life! Thank you both for the work you do and for this fantastic conversation 😌

Loved the episode! Thing that was “loudest” to me as Samir put it was the task-switching incessantly. I definitely struggle in being decisive about choosing a task and seeing it through so it was nice to hear about that. Also I thought the de-brief at the end added to the overall conversation and experience! 🙌🏻 I think that could definitely become a staple of these interviews.

Such an amazing episode! I loved the intro with both of you and the debrief at the end! I also loved how the debref wasn't a scripted segment and how it was just you both genuinely reflecting on the conversation and how it applied to you! 👏👏👏

Thank you so much for the honest conversation at end of the video. I really appreciate you are not pretending everything is rainbow and sunshine. And like how open you are about the fact we can have doubts as creators. For me I realize to be able to do this for the next 10 years, would be , never loose the ability to believe I’m doing this only and only for me and creating. I like to be able to reinvent myself, discover new ways to improve my art and find new subjects to explore. If people like it great, but for longevity I need to respect how I like to do things and not because of numbers.

Colin and Samir, great job as always. There are always more to improve as you are both searching with your careers and wish you both success in finding ways to be more impactful to your audience. Debrief was nice and refreshing as it allowed me to see what your take away and personal reflection from your interview. It is nice also to see both of your personalities clash but also come together and be whole on a subject.

I havent been a subscriber for too long but I really enjoyed the conversation between you guys at the end! I loved seeing you guys bounce of each other and have take aways and thoughts from Peter the same way I did (social relationships, stillness, bringing a buddy to workout) I don't even think you guys need to call it the "Deep End" or name it, it feels very fitting for your channel

This felt like a very different conversation for the channel, but I'm so glad I committed to listening. These kind of conversations are some of themes important as creatives to keep us creating long-term. I'll be listening to this for a second, maybe even a third time. I also really enjoyed the Deep End debrief, it summed up the conversation and realizations well

Debriefs are 100% beneficial after I really enjoyed them, I think for some videos circling back on the topic to see how some have changed throughout the years or the effects of those changes for your own channel or the community would be nice too. Essentially a part 2.

Colin & Samir, even if this video doesn't perform well, it was incredibly impactful on me. I really appreciate the topics covered about stillness to increase productivity and prioritizing longevity. And I relate so much to you Samir; I always feel such a need to be productive every second of the day and it gets stressful. And it's just so reassuring to hear this perspective from Peter Attia that being productive doesn't just have to be about working all the time and productivity can also be achieved by being still and learning to do nothing in order to increase your creative output. Thanks Guys, this is now on my playlist, and I'll be replaying it to get your watch time up as much as I can haha 🤣

Wow i've truly never been so early but also I've been thinking quite a bit about shutting off my mind and trying to be creative without turning to scroll content/ reel/ pintrest boards for insiration so I know this will be so useful. Also in terms of not treating creators like atheletes, I think it's also because there's no perception of creators in that way so people minimise themsleves and their needs

Very, very valuable responses - appreciate Peter Attia's integrity and nuance. One quick note here at the 1:13:00 or so mark - y'all - wouldn't it be cool if people came with a display and a graph of where they were exactly, what their curve shape was at a given moment... Listen. This is why we invest in getting to actually know people well enough, to build up enough trust that a) we can sense things (yes, even over zoom!) and b) we have the foundation and trust to ASK. If you have a team where people can't ask one another how they are doing and give/get honest answers - there is a problem no display is going to solve. PS, don't want to be snarky (well, maybe just a bit), but we already have a display. It's called a face.

"Every dollar I make is using this thing between my ears, why would I compromise that?" - this one! I'm at fault of making decisions around my sleep that compromise my performance. And the older I get, the more I realize that I limit my own potential, by not making the right decisions around my sleep. Gotta protect the asset that makes the money! :)

Whaaat a conversation. Mending at the end; could burnout also just be a justification for disappointment? When videos do well it’s super easy to create more and post more, but when they don’t I definitely feel discouraged especially when thinking I’m on the brink of a breakthrough or something similar. “No cup was full” no truer words were spoken haha

Attia, to me, is different than most other medfluencer/podcasters because he feels intensely dedicated to the science. He’s a true nerd. He doesn’t claim to be an expert of things outside of his scope (aka pseudo-experts), even when he talks about them. I feel like he probably dislikes the parts of being a public personality that others become victims of, but maybe I’m completely off here.

Please take this advice. You are talking about getting a two hour workout in you have forgotten who your audience is. That’s why your views are down. In the deep end, you are alienating the majority of your audience who are part-time creators. We can’t even get a 30 minute workout in because we work at our jobs all day and try to create For the limited amount of time that we have.
