My credit card expired and I'm not able to renew due to temporary resident status. Will simply not using my credit card anymore have any impact on my credit score? And are there any other ways to get a new credit card?

You could try getting a secured credit card (where you deposit money with the financial institution first). The limit will then equal the deposit.
