Wow! Thank you, this is very beneficial 👌 LPS (endotoxin) has been linked to many, many other conditions. Apparently cooked white button mushrooms, raw carrot salads and aspirin (amongst other things) can reduce LPS (taken from Ray Peat’s works).
@ModernHealthspan3 жыл бұрын
Hi thanks for sharing. That is really interesting as LPS certainly seems to increase with age.

The problem is that for us users measuring cd38 is next to impossible. Apigenin from parsley seems to be a good pre cursors … I suppose one could use intracellular nad+ , before and after to see if inhabiting cd38 allows nad- increase. Assuming that one’s nad+ is lowered by cd38 action in tje nad pathway.

So will cryotherapy help reduce CD38? I have heard that it is used for locking in fat loss by reducing inflammation and changing the behavior of white blood cell so they do not inflame or try to repack on the fat.
@ModernHealthspan3 жыл бұрын
Hi Joshua, thanks for your question. Cryotherapy is not something that I have looked into much. To me cryotherapy as a way to reduce inflammation (as in when used on an injury) makes more sense, as Dr. Covarrubias said, one of the ways to attack CD38 is to reduce the original source of inflammation.

A good section of the interview. 78c has potential to become a drug?

Hi Jose, thanks for your question. 78c does seem promising. At the moment it does not seem commercially available. I am not sure if anyone is trying to take it to clinical trial.

Doesn't inhibiting CD38 reduce immunity?
@sweetbon762 жыл бұрын
A complete loss of CD38 function would impair the immune responses. But since CD38 levels increases with age, mouse studies suggests there are benefits to inhibit CD38. Also inhibitors like Apigenin and Quercetin are known flavonoids that are present in berries, fruit and greens like apples, onion and parsley. Should be safe to eat.
@lawnmower113 жыл бұрын
Good vid and have you seen Dr Brenna Osborne’s presentation on her mouse study for 1 year that found that cd38 reduction exacerbated premature aging, wondering your thoughts on her results? Thanks for the content; I’ve been supplementing with dried parsley flakes in recent months, not sure if to continue
@ModernHealthspan3 жыл бұрын
Hi Falcon, Thanks for sharing. I had not seen that. I have found her video on KZbin and will have look.
@lawnmower113 жыл бұрын
@@ModernHealthspan It appears in her study that they completely eliminated CD 38 so perhaps the solution is to keep CD38 levels in check maybe with a reasonable amount of parsley flakes or apigenin rather than completely deleting CD 38 from the body
@LTPottenger3 жыл бұрын
The cd38 seems to be used in some kind of macrophage repair process, so you can't just block it you have to address the root issue of senescent cells.
@101rosebud3 жыл бұрын
How would you check desirable levels of CD38? What kind of test? What would those levels be? Would it be about checking inflammation such as in CRP levels? I don't want to even start this process until I know since it seems lowering cd38 can lower immunity.
@101rosebud3 жыл бұрын
@@ModernHealthspan Did you look at her video yet? I made a comment on this thread about my concern about lowering immunity. How would you moderate the amount of supplementation to reap benefits without lowering immunity? See my comment below.
