Pro Tip: Export illustrator artwork to SVG. This means it is premium resolution (fully scalable vector) and small file size. Word will insert SVG.

Great video, quick question - is it possible to have a different header footer image for the following pages? For example, take your page you created in the video, then if the letter is more then 1 page, the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th pages only have the footer from the 1st page - is that possible?

Nevermind, I figured it out - For anyone else interested, all you have to do is before you insert the image in your header, select the check box "Different First Page" in the Header & Footer section, then follow the rest of the video, you can then insert a different image for the following pages after the first, depending on how long the document you type is.

Hello. When I close the header tab, and I type, it's all faded. Black texts and highlights are basically invisible. I could only see what I was typing when I changed the colour to red.

thank you for the awesome video was exactly what I was looking for :P. But I just have one question regarding the print of the letterhead. Whenever I print out a copy of the letterhead I designed I find there is a small cut at the top and the bottom of the letterhead but it does not happen when i save it as pdf. i kinda find that a Lil annoying is there any workaround for this issue. ? Thank you

Could it be your printer settings?is the scale settings set to 100%? I'd create the letterhead doc bigger with a few mm/inches of bleed and ensure its over the edge of the Word doc. If that doesn't work check your printer settings. Hope this helps.

Hi Darrin, depending on the use of the document. If you are going to print out the document you should use a high resolution jpg or pdf at 300dpi CMYK file. Png is fine for online use only. Hope this helps 😀👍

I'm doing something wrong. I've imported a pdf of the letterhead design i did in InDesign but each time i try to type a letter, i can type the first line but when i return, it goes to a NEW PAGE for the second line! How do i lock the letterhead onto the page so i can type a letter under the logo?

Thats because they are locked in the header and footer section. It's Word's why of indicating that these elements can not be moved. They will print full colour.

It doesn't fill the whole page while printed. There are spaces all around it. Why is this?

Ensure you have set the scale set to 100% or fit to page. Also, make sure the document size matches A4 or Letter size depending on what size your letterhead is.
