You don't have to be embarrassed to tell to your mother! She also had the same thing and might understand how it feels. If it was really painful you putted it in incorrectly. Make sure you are comfortable after putting it in 2nd time.

Here are all the 9-13 year olds that are wondering when they are gonna get theirs. I didn't get mine until I was 15!!!!! If u r 9 asking when u r gonna get ur, it might be another 6 years!!! I'm happy I got mine late, because I never had to worry about whether I would bleed through my cute clothes!!
@DrSophiax39 жыл бұрын
it's honestly highly uncommon to get it at 15. I got mine the first day of 6th grade, and my friends all started that year and my best friend started in 7th. I mean, you're so lucky to get it at that age but please guys ALWAYS BE PREPARED. no, don't carry those wimpy pantiliners, bring actual pads when you get around the age when it can start.

I got mine 3/4 of the way into the school year... In 5th grade. Now I'm in 8th and I've had my period for a while, and you never know. My sister got hers earlier then mine, and some girls I know got theirs the summer of 4th into 5th grade! So every girl is different and even now some girls in my grade don't have their periods.

AN HOUR HELP.....
@strayersend10 жыл бұрын
Hi. Um, so even with all the tips being girl has provided me, I have done them all but my body seems to reject the tampon. It hurts extremely when I try to put it in and it wont go in any further than just the tip. I use the cardboard applicator ones but I prefer the plastic. Thing is both types and even the smallest size seem to be rejected. And I leak through all my clothes. The blood goes to the side of my thigh rather than being absorbed. Thing is im on the swim team so I have to use tampos or quit. But I love swimming and tampons dont love me please please please help!!!
@strayersend10 жыл бұрын
SailorMoonAMV I have made sure of that. Only once have I been able to get it in, and that was with a plastic applicator one. I tried it again and itbwas rejected.
@SailorMoonAMV10 жыл бұрын
I don't understand what you mean by rejected. If you managed to get in properly once you should be able to get it in again, it just takes practice. Do not use cardboard ones, they pinch
@strayersend10 жыл бұрын
What I mean by rejected is that it hurts when I put it in, and if I do it slowly, it will not go in at all. It is just pushed out of me. My muscles almost seem to think its unhealthy or something. I dont know. I will use the plastic ones from now on and see if that helps.
@SailorMoonAMV10 жыл бұрын
Maddey Strayer this is the first time you have actually had to put anything into your vagina and it might just be yours is tight and needs to stretch a little (Im just guessing this may not be the case) In general, tampons are somewhat unhealthy - they mess with the natural balance and self cleaning properties of your vagina and stop the blood from leaving your body... so just be careful with them :) You can still use them and be safe if you follow all the instructions on the box
@strayersend10 жыл бұрын
SailorMoonAMV thank you for the advice.

I don't understand, if you put a tampon in but it doesn't fill up, is it stuck in there? A lot of people say you should only get light ones because if you try to tug it out and it isn't full, it won't come out! I'm scared about that! I don't want to put in a tampon towards the end of my period and it doesn't fill, so it won't come out, and I need to wear a tampon to gymnastics, because I've been wearing pads and I leaked through my leotard! I don't think anyone saw, but i can't just sit there and wait for a time where someone does see! Help me please! :0
@chauchauchanify9 жыл бұрын
Flitter Shy When the tampon is dry it is hard to pull out, but it's not impossible to pull out. When it's dry it may irritate you and there isn't enough blood to help it slide out. People are correct in saying you should use the lowest absorbency that works for you.
@greenteawithbees9 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for replying ;) I managed to get one in at last, but took it out 1 hour after I used it! (Big mistake, I hurt so much!). But next time I'll think i'll try again with lite, because I used regular that time :)

its ok your not hitting your pelvic bone. Be sure your putting it in at an angle. AND be sure your really relaxed. If you tense up it makes it very hard. and try to buy tampons for your body size. I would recommend using small one but its your choise. Hope this helped!

I'm really scared of getting my period. I'm 12 and my family is full of girls and when they get their period they complain and it sounds like it hurts. I'm not very social with my family and I really don't wanna tell any of them about it because I'll be embarrassed and just the thought of going tampon or pad shopping is embarrassing especially when I have to go with someone I know will make the biggest deal out of it. I've had all the signs of starting my period soon and even my doctor said I should start within the next month or maybe even week! I really need help!
@jetblckmuke93919 жыл бұрын
+Ana Kern Don't worry, it is completely normal. It does feel embarrassing to go tampon or pad shopping, but it really shouldn't be, because everyone knows what happens to girls. Besides, you're probably never going to see those people ever again. AND, if you exercise regularly, you won't complain as much as them (because you get menstrual cramps) because you won't hurt as much. Just try not to think about the cramp when you have it, or convince yourself that it's part of your imagination.
@kylaziahkern28669 жыл бұрын

Umm.. I live with my dad and im a bit embarrased to ask for tampons.. Pads are on but tampons? So i went to the swimming pool (its connected with the gym I go to) bathroom and I found 25 cent tampons. Are they ok for first use? Or do I have to buy the ones that come in packages?

Do periods actually go away in the water? My first_ day period i had it, and me and my cousins were going swimming. I saw that i had my period for the month, but it was obviously light. I still went swimming and it didnt stain my swimsuit or bleed through.?

For the tampax pearl ones, should the leak braid be outside or inside the body? I know the string should be outside of your body but for the braid part I have no clue!
@fruiitsplash89259 жыл бұрын
Outside. It's to pull it out when you're done using it.

The website was out of mini and regular, so I had to buy the super kotex tampon. Today I tried to put it in 3 times, but I failed all the times. it wouldn't just go further even though i've tried different position. one the 3rd time the tampon went in almost half its length, but it wouldn't get any further than that, and when I sit down with my legs squatting, it dropped. I guess the problem is about the size. by the way, I wasn't able to find any with-applicator one in my country, so i had to deal with the tampon without applicators, and it hurts me. :(

I'm getting the hang of inserting tampons but I still have a concern. I insert it ALL the way and then I take the applicator out. But after a few minutes I feel it a little bit. I told my aunt and she told me you did it right you just have to get used to it. I'm worried - is it true i have to get used to it or did I probably inserted it at a wrong angle ?

How do you know exactly were to put it? What if you put it in on the wrong hole? On a scale of 1/10 how much does it hurt when its your first time taking it out or putting it in? At what age should you start using them?

This is helpful but I'm 12 and I want to use a tampon for the first time for swimming. But I have a medium-heavy flow and they say a light tampon is best for your first time. I don't want to leak in the pool! Help what should I do?!

I'm almost 14 and still haven't gotten mine.. But I dance like crazy 6 days a week and about 4 hours a day. My mom got hers when she was 15 but dancers usually only have one period in their life anyways... Is that bad if you only have one?
