TOOLS NEEDED:
Socket wrench with 10mm socket and extension, a flat-head screwdriver, and preferably a panel clip remover.
INSTRUCTIONS:
In the previous video, we removed the fender without taking the front bumper off. No need to do extra work if you don't have to, am I right?! The bumper bracket is on the fender and the bumper clips on to this bracket. You have to slide the fender nose-first behind the bumper. Once the bumper is sitting on the apron, it's best to secure it with a bolt to hold it in place. We forgot to take off the plastic clip for the headlight. You want to snap the headlight bracket into the fender and that white plastic cap. Check if your fender is aligned with all the screw/bolt holes. Secure the top fender but do not tighten the bolts just yet. Once the fender is held in place, you want to check the alignment of the fender to the hood. Compare the gaps to the other side to be sure if your alignment is correct. Once you are comfortable with the spacing on the fender, tighten the bolts with your 10mm socket. It's important to place the bolts in their proper spot without securing them to be sure the fender remains in place. There are two bolts on the bottom of the fender underneath the car. There is a bolt-on on the inside of the fender behind the fender liner.
We did not like the spacing near the door. We pushed the fender forward and back just a little to get the desired spacing and secured it with the socket wrench. On the bottom of the fender, we loosened the bolts and pulled the bottom back, or towards the rear. You can the spacing by opening the door. Be sure it will not rub on the fender or door. Secure the bolts by the door and tighten all other bolts. You can now insert the noise dampener inside the fender. Make sure you hear the click to secure it in place. There are 3 bolts that secure the nose of the fender to the frame. Pop the bumper back on. The fender line goes over the fender on this vehicle. Slide the fender liner bolt bracket onto the bumper and secure it with the pushpin. Make your way along the fender liner inserting the push pins in their proper place. Don' forget about the bottom portion of the fender liner. Don't forget about your plastic cover near the side-view mirror. Lastly, there is one more plastic cover on the corner of the hood and windshield. You're all done!! Thanks for watching.
