How to install a bathtub

In this video I walk through a bathtub installation. I recommend having a second person to help due to the size. The key is those extra few inches in the wall cavity between studs. An awkward business to connect the waste. Over here in UK baths nearly always come with separate removable side bath panels. It makes it much easier to connect up the waste, bath taps and easy to check for leaks.

They work great just be sure not to apply too much pressure. You can wrap them in tape to protect the drain if necessary. Thanks for the comment!

How did you line up the tub drain to match up with the main drain and tighten the P trap so there is no leaks. I have a slab floor and no easy access from the bottom.

I measured for the floor location. It's not ideal but since the condo has no other access. I reached down the 3.5" wall gap to secure the fittings. If you can, make access through the wall

Not all tubs install to rest on a mortar bed. This Bootz tub from Home Depot comes with a float pad that is adhered to the bottom of the tub

I swear, all Bootz steel tubs come with damage. Just look at the reviews on Home Depot. Bootz has zero quality control.
