Any tips on getting the reservoir adapter off of the reservoir? Mine seems to be extremely tight and I'm worried about messing up the threads and O-rings trying to get it off, so it's tough to get a solid grip. EDIT: Upon closer inspection, the inside of the adapter is sized for a 3/8 hex key for exactly this reason.

Hi, I installed the DePinger and now when I fill it air just comes out of the barrel do you know how to fix that?

First, be sure to re-tighten the air dump screw beside the trigger... If that doesn't fix the problem it sounds like your discharge valve may have come out when you pulled the air reservoir. Check to see if the valve and spring are still present (The valve is under the spring) and make sure the valve is installed in the right direction and seated. Be sure to let us know what you find! -Shane

What would you use to push out jammed pellets in the barrel once you take the barrel off from the gun

Patrick, I use the plastic barrel clearing stick that comes with it and rap it with a hammer. If you have lost that stick you can use a wooden dowel or if you are SUPER careful, I have used a piece of steel rod that I had in the shop too but that makes my skin crawl whenever I use it. -Shane

@@amorepreparedlife4557 I use the steel rod and it's still not budging so what I was planning on getting a one foot drill bit once I pull it off drill from the other side of the barrel that's closer to the end

I just realized that the bulldog kind of looks like a G-11?You should check out the new aea challenger big 9 bullpup it’s shooting a 180grain .357 slug at 1000fps, It’s my first air rifle I can’t wait! Hope that depinger works on my gun. I don’t know why they don’t add them to every gun before they come out of the shop. I also wonder if you put a bunch more o-rings on the depinger if that if it would make it even more effective.

Greg, We haven't tried additional o-rings but I agree with you, I think that might help too. We have considered putting a bicycle inner tube tightly around the outside of the air reservoir. And, yeah man, we TOTALLY agree that the manufacturers should have these included in the design from the factory. The "boing" sound is just a pathetic oversight on their part as far as we are concerned. I will definitely check out the new AEA Challenger. You will have a TON of fun with these things man! they give you back the chance to shoot cheaply again. Have a super evening -Shane

Yes, I just bought the 457 and the ping a very loud. I just ordered the depinger will install once it arrives.

Baron, That's kind of silly of them to include it and not even let you know what it is or how to install it. Most of the de-pingers work the same and are installed the same. These instructions should get you there... but that is a head scratcher for certain that they didn't provide info. -Shane

if the air reservoir is totally empty, you have to cock it in order to fill it again

I know your situation is a year old but after installing the de-pinger and everything is put back together, you must cock the charging handle fully as if you’re loading a round in order for the reservoir to take air pressure. Maybe someone else lately has had the same issue so this reply may help them.

Ronald, it is a bit difficult to get the sound clear enough on video. I can tell you that I am not affiliated with the folks selling the depinger in any way and I would buy one again in a minute. The difference with your cheek against the stock especially is pretty dramatic. It takes the bulldog which really sounds... oh I dont know... Cheap? maybe? and takes that ping away almost completely and it is in my opinion at least, worth every penny for such a simple and inexpensive upgrade Let us know what you think if you decide to upgrade yours! Sorry my friend but KZbin has a lot of videos on making lead bullets. The process has been the same for hundreds of years. It is called moulding bullets. I know I have the equipment also. Enjoy life.
