Thanks for the video! Can you tell me where i van view the temperature of 35 degrees?

well watching the video and adding it to our pond seems to have done the trick we will keep a eye on it over night and give a update tomorrow thanks 11.5 inlet and 13 out so far ideal temp is 26c

Why not a 3 way diverter and one ball valve? Save 50%

Is it nessesary to install a bypass on a heat pump

tasmedic, how would you have plumbed it?

Closing valve 3 to set up the flow through the heat pump is not a good idea for various reasons: It makes the water supply pump work harder by increasing the resistance it's working against. This could also invalidate the water pump warranty, and of course the more valve 3 is closed, the more current the water pump will draw, and the more expensive it will be to run. Closing valve 3 will also reduce the action of the filter which is in series with the heat pump in your diagram. Better to use valve 1 to control the flow. Opening that reduces the work the water pump has to do, and also reduces water pressure within the heat pump itself, which causes associated components within the heat pump less stress. Closing valve 3 increases the water pressure within the heat pump itself, which is not good for long term reliability of the circulating water system within the heat pump. Also, I get the impression that much of the text in this video has been badly translated from a foreign language. A manometer measures pressure NOT temperature, and you can't use this term to describe both cases. A generic term which could be used would be "gauge". Better, however to use the terms pressure gauge and temperature gauge, to avoid confusion. The plural of video is video, is videos. Plurals have never needed an apostrophe before the "s". Other than these issues, a very helpful video. Any comments would be appreciated.

correct, the only right way to control gpm is through the pump and only if your pump have variable rpm.

This must be the dumbest instruction video ever made. Absolutely everything is wrong. 20BAR!? 35degrees!? Reading temp on a manometer. Restricting water flow to the pool. Please make a new video that is checked by a technician. Silly silly people

What they mean is, at a pressure of 20 bar, the refrigerant has 35 degrees celsius. So the gauge can show both the pressure and the corresponding temperature. Remember that pressure and temperature of gases are related to each other: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ideal_gas_law
