In this video, you're going to get great tips and tricks on how to install precut tin film from our Rvinyl on the rear window inside windows.
Get Yours Here: www.rvinyl.com/Window-Tint.html
A good tip is to always roll the kit out on a flat table.
Once it's completely rolled out, the next step is to section everything up, keeping in mind that the pieces are in sets and mirrored.
The first step is to clean the outside of the windows using a highly absorbent microfiber towel and then generously spray not only the window but the area around it. Be sure to wipe down the area around it first, then the window. A lot of sneaky dirt can build up around the outside of the window, so it's very important to get that first, then clean the window last.
And now, with the inside portion of the window clean, then spray it with a slip solution, then come to the outside. Peel the liner halfway off the precut piece of window tint. Spray the exposed adhesive with the slip solution, then pick it up and over, then onto the inside portion of the window. It's always a good idea to leave about an eighth of an inch gap on the top and sides. This is for long term durability, and there's no need to use a knife to trim it at the very end. Once it's uniform in a position, spray with the slip solution, then squeegee it side to side. This holds it in position and then the window can be rolled up. It's always a good idea to clean one more time when the window goes up. Remove the liner. Spray the substitution one more time now. Tuck the corners behind the molding at the bottom. It's very important to do this first because if done properly this will even out the tension on the entire piece and then it can typically be squeezed onto the window, always squeegee from the top down and use that corner side of the squeegee to tuck the material safely behind the molding. Once the side of the molding is tucked in, then the last portion is to squeeze the middle section.
Now we get to finishing and go back over the edges with the corner of the squeegee and remove any moisture onto a microfibre towel. Once that section is down, clean the main area of the window and remove any moisture from the side, panel the vehicle. Once everything is dry and clean, clean the outside, and now you can check for any edges that aren't properly sealed, come back in with the hard side of the squeegee to make sure they're down nice and tight, give it a final wipe down.
Because the back window is curved to hold it in place, it's a good idea to make an H shape with the slip solution using a paper towel to a vertical run on the left and the right and a horizontal right in the middle. Place the rear window piece on the glass. Make sure it's even left to right. Lock it on to the middle of the edge, then to the sides of the edge once it squeegee it in place. Now it's time to shrink it on. And here we're going to speed it up so you can see the entire process. Be sure to squeegee in small sections roughly three inch and go from side to side. Try not to go vertically all the way to the edge, because this can build up too many fingers. Be sure to keep the heat going again on a medium setting to avoid burning the film. Once the bottom section is flat, I repeat the exact same steps for the top when done, the precut piece should be laying 100 percent flat on the rear window.
Once it's in the right position, simply squeeze it on in overlapping squeegee strokes. Using the triangle squeegee that comes with the kit from our Rvinyl is a great tool for these tricky areas, which can be hard to reach and be extra thorough during the squeezing process so that no moisture sneaks back underneath the adhesive side of the tent. I was nice about most back windows is there's no molding to tuck the material behind. So this is a straightforward process in terms of squeegee and getting the moisture out. Then once all the moisture is out, double check the edges and you're good to go.
And a final piece to put on is the small triangle window that is often at the back window area, a great tip is to use the tabs that come with the precut kit and putting one in the liner and one on the tent. The liner can be safely released without getting the fingers on the adhesive side of the piece. Then, as it's hanging off the tab, spread generously with the slip solution. Spray the inside portion of the window with the slip solution again, then squeegee it on. It can be awkward to squeegee from the inside. With this type of squeegee, so good tip is to once you anchor it in place in the right position, then stand outside the car, which gives a better perspective on how to get the moisture out all the way to the edge. And with this final piece installed, the last step is to simply wipe down the outside of the car. And here's a shot of the final result. And now you can see with the right tools and precut kit, a window tint film from our Rvinyl.

Does all Rvinyl precut window tint need to have heat gun for DIY? Will it still fit if I don’t have a heat gun?
@Rvinyl
@Rvinyl 2 жыл бұрын
It really depends on which window you are tinting You may be able to do side windows with a strong hair dryer. For a rear windshield it is best to use a heat gun. Beg, borrow or even steal one! Well, not the last part but you could get an inexpensive one at Harbor Freight or even Amazon and still save a ton of money.

@gazehound
@gazehound 14 күн бұрын
Right before rolling it out, they begin to release the liner from the adhesive. As you roll the tint film on, you pin the liner you removed against the other (non-adhesive) side of the film. Essentially you're removing and reapplying the liner to the opposite side as you roll the film on.
