I followed this entire tutorial and its working great. However, is there a tutorial or resources you can point me towards for making this EU-only / regional based so the consent is automatically given for ad, storage, analytics, etc for the U.S. and only is required for GDPR enforced countries?

Isn’t ”consent mode” something completely different in Google lingo than a cookie consent banner?

Unfortunately, this method of loading Klaro from GTM container has one significant disadvantage - any ADBlocker on the user side will block the banner.

Hi Julian, great tutorial. Everything working fine! One question only... How can a user who has chosen cookie settings once change his choice again? How to place a link (e.g. in the "Privacy Policy") to change the choice of cookie settings based on the user's existing Klaro cookies?

Greetings. I’m really frustrated by the Cookies permission choice notification. For example the OneTrust interface offers my the opportunity to choose to activate or deactivate a bunch of non-essential cookies. However the “Accept”/“Reject” options aren’t obvious (well they aren’t for me 😬) Which colour option is “Reject”… is it to the left - Grey or is it to the right - Blue? I’ve come across these often and never know which is the “Reject” option. Everything online seems to be aimed at the person looking to install cookies, but nothing for the consumer looking to “Enable/Accept” “Disable/Reject” cookies.

@MeasureSchool Can you please post the config variable you selected here? the "onAccept" examples given in Klaro github doesn't work when I put it inside GTM (GTM only supports ES5 as of now, so onAccept being ES6 doesn't work)

Hi Julian, thanks for the video. Somehow I have issues to show the 1st-party-cookie variable. I always get the value "undefined". Also, if i accept (or decline) the cookies, i'll get the popup on every new windowload and I can't figure out why

For those who are facing the same issue: I put the klaro js-files directly into my index.html so that they are loaded when the GTM trigger fires (it's an react SPA)

Since Google Tag Manager itself is a data-processing technology (like e.g. Google Analytics), the user’s consent is needed in order to use the technology legally. Because of that, why don't just add the code into the website directly? Thanks!

This is basically like saying "I have to ask the birthday boy to eat a second piece of cake; why not simply eating the whole cake before it is served" I guess what you meant was, why not simply adding the code snippets of GA, AW, FB Pixel and others directly to the respective fields of a consent management solution like Klaro!?
