It's amazing the work that can be done with these sub-compact tractors. Obviously bigger equipment makes the work faster - but often you use what you have. This is a great example of that, and how the little machine was capable of this project. Kyle doing the work himself, with his own equipment - not only saved some money, but let us have some fun doing tractor work! :)

I have a 1026R and a 3039R and they both are very valuable. It beats doing it by hand which was more possible in my younger days.

Having the 1026R and the 3039R probably works out perfect! The 1025R for the smaller projects or tighter spaces - and the 3039R for the bigger stuff.

I think with a few rain events and a bit of traffic over that it will compact down like cement and hold that culvert pipe like iron! I don’t recall hearing it but how long/big was that culvert pipe? Great video. We did a crossing of our dry creek to our pasture and needed a 24” pipe and 40 tons of stone.

You really need to take the topsoil off of where you're putting a driveway in, before the stone/gravel goes down and dig under the culvert pipe so you can put a good base material to support the weight that will be on top of it and get the inside of the pipe to the same level as the ditch line, maybe even a little lower (depending on your situation) so the water won't back up and drain correctly. But "You can't see it from my house!" Or "Good enough for the girls I go out with"!

Thanks for watching and sharing the advice! The base below the culvert pipe was already a mix of sand/crushed stone/gravel. There may be some natural sediment build up that happens to "level up" to the pipe where the water flows, but that will likely happen in the first rain storm. The culvert was necessary so that future equipment can come in and scrape all the top soil off and lay the base material down for the long driveway. I like those phrases you added. Around here, many people say, "Good enough for government work."
