Although you have routed the cable behind the airbag modules, since you routed the rear camera cable through the door seal and trim, if the curtain airbags are deployed, this cable could quickly hit the passengers and cause serious injuries. Is there a way to prevent this? Or do you think you have prevented this? One way would be to route it from the bottom, but I don't know if the rear camera cable would be long enough.

hi, the cable is not long enough to run via bottom of door. yes i have considered about side air bag. since it is behind the air bag, i think it will push the rest of the cable behind as it deploys.

Ken, my x1 f48 shows slot 42 having 5amp fuse currently. The fuse diagram suggests that slot 42 is shared by horn/bell, speaker and tyre warning. I see you have added a red(10amp) fuse so my question is are you sharing that slot now with the original 5amp and the new 10amp you’re using for the dashcam please? Could that be risky?

hi, the 5 amp fuse just limits how much can be used. The wire that feeds into the fuse can supply a lot more than 5 amp.

@@kenkanfix therefore it is ok to mix 5amp and 15amp on the same slot, with a pigtail?
@kenkanfix4 ай бұрын
@isalevy4719 yes it will be fine. just make sure you have the fuses in the right slots

Hey on slot 65 did you add another fuse pairing the existing 20amp fuse? O you just leave just one?

hi, I used a fuse tap, so existing 20A is for original circuit and extra 5A fuse is for the dashcam
