You can upgrade the heatsink with a more capable one! AMD prism/stealth both work but need some modding for them to work!

You should increase the fan speed from default (20%) to something like 40-50%, which gives you the same cooling capability of the original. The fan speed is not dynamic on Xbox and it always runs at the same set RPM. You need to change the setting in your bios/nkpatcher, the dash settings don’t effect games.

@@rightspritegaming nkpatcher would be if you were softmodded. For TSOP/modchip you will need to use whatever configuration tool your BIOS uses, like evtool, and reflash it, or some bioses put a .ini file on the root of the drive you can directly edit to change the fan speed.

From what i hear online people are saying the nexus fan is more efficient for cooling also which i would interpret as same settings would equal cooler temps.

It absolutely 100% does not have cooler temps at the same speeds. You can test it yourself, same Xbox speed settings will show the OG Xbox fan as the lowest temp. You will need to increase the fan speed on the Xbox to have the nexus match the OG. However, the nexus fan will be quieter than the OG fan at the same temperature, even if you have to increase fan speed. But at default fan speed the nexus is 10 degrees hotter but much quieter.

Yo, my man. Good video. Just a thought when I watched this. Is the fan supposed to take cool air from the outside and push it over the heatsink or does it exhaust?

En aliexpress he encontrado el DC Brushless Model AUB0712VH, mide 70x70x25, 4600Rpm, 0,56A, 5,1W. Es mas potente que el original de la consola pero si tenemos la consola con softmod o chip solo hay que reducir la velocidad desde el NKPatcher o el XBMC y funcionaría perfecto.

is there anotehr fan i can use? this fan is the insane price of 50 euro on Amazon ... I'd rather use a noctua fan with a 3d printed bracket or smth. I'd be more than happy to design and print my own bracket. Is the fan connector like a standard PC fan connector?

En teoría vale cualquier ventilador de 70mm y 3 pines, asegúrate de que sea de altas RPM yo recomendaría mínimo +3500rpm ya que los ventiladores silenciosos no sirven para este caso ya que apenas ventilan.

mauvais coté du câble du ventilateur , le mettre en bas a gauche aurait était plus intelligent . le scotch double face qui ne tiendra pas longtemps c'est complétement ridicule , des serres câbles serait largement mieux .et je parle même pas du disque dur qui ne tiens pas correctement . franchement cette vidéo est totalement merdique
