Thanks for the how to. Very complete. I just purchased a couple, no instructions. Now I know how to do the project.

Thanks for the video. You mentioned flush bolts aren't great. Do you have a better recommendation on what to use for double doors instead?

Flush bolts are great, but installing them is tedious. I prefer to buy an astragal that has flush bolts built-in. It's much faster and easier. I buy these online for $220. Here's an example and thanks for watching. kzbin.info0WQli7fqC-c

Amazing! Good advice! I would have used the router full depth and blown out the door, cussing and all! Lol Thank you!

Been there ! And sometimes I still get a little impatient and go deeper than I should. Glad I could pass on that tip. Thanks for watching.

My door is locked at the bottom with a full length flush lock the top moves but not the bottom

That's typically an alignment issue or a broken mechanism. For the first case, try to get some WD40 into any accessible mechanism area both in the sliding part and under the door. Pull or push the door as you try to move the mechanism. IF the mechanism is broken, unscrew it from the door and try to move it manually by pulling on the rod or moving the bolt from the bottom with a putty knife or something like that. If that doesn't work, try popping the hinge pins off and moving the door until you can get it off and do an inspection. Good luck and thanks for watching.
