The torque is printed on the cap. 25 foot pounds, do not over tighten. Also there is a pressure test port right on rear side of filter bowl. To get the air out remove the cap from test port and briefly depress the valve stem, this will give much better results.

Do not use the drain, use an extractor!! If you open the bottom drain it you get tiny pieces of grit in the bottom of the drain and it will not prime because it is sucking air. you will then have to flush it til you get the system to prime and it is a pain.

Kelley Pack water and sediment removal. modern diesel with bio products (bio diesel) actually absorbs water over time, and the filter will separate it. very important to remove that old fuel in the housing.

+dieselworld Wix manufacturers also sell their product to O'Reillys renamed Microgard. It does not state micron rating whereas the Wix is as low as 2 microns. O'Reilly's has no idea if the Microgard is the same as its parent Wix. Do you know? Or am I better off buying the $27 Wix filter? I ask because I just started running B20 and need a few filters to keep on hand. Thank you!
