Thanks you sir. I was wondering how and would have made a mess but for you. When I went to put it back, I wrestled with it for 30 minutes. The flange kept getting in my way. No matter what I did. Then I went to old reliable. Blue tape. I took to strips long enough to reach around all of it and not tight. I didn't want max stickiness, just enough to hold Worked the bonus was putting the tape on two sides caused enough friction to not only hold all the pieces together, the thickness was just enough to take up the slack and the lower flange stayed up with the upper flange. The ring went on in 10 seconds with that stuff out of the way. Good old blue tape.

Hi! I really need help. I have a fire clay sink with a drain that won’t fit standard 3.5 garbage disposal flange. Where can I get a garbage disposal that is 3.25!!! THANK YOU!
@MendandMake5 ай бұрын
Call fire clay directly and ask if they have a disposal in mind. I’m sure they get this problem when they sell those
@Flysimware5 ай бұрын
I have the same garbage disposal but the flange does not sit flush in a Ruvati sink. What garbage disposal do I need?
@MendandMake5 ай бұрын
You have to take measurements and then look around or you can always contact the manufacturer of the sink and ask
@Flysimware5 ай бұрын
@@MendandMake I went to Lowe's with my Moen flange and it fit every single sink they had on display. This told me that Ruvati is one of those Companies that alters from the standard to ensure you use their parts. They have a upgrade that is called a garbage disposal basket. But they do not have an actual disposal. So I am returning the sink as I want a disposal and decided to spend the extra as Delta costs more. I am always ok with paying more for quality. And Delta is by far the best when it comes to sinks. The best part is the sink hole flange area is the standard 3.5 and not 3.25. Ruvati needs to make a disclaimer that their sinks do not work with standard size parts. I feel they made a huge mistake on this choice and will get many returns.
@MendandMake5 ай бұрын
@@Flysimware yes always check to see if the hole is standard for your disposal. I have wondered this about wayfair and some of their fancy products. Sorry for the hassle you e gone through.

@MendandMake actually the metal rung that snaps in ti hold it up pops off when I tighten the screws. I'm doing it evenly but can't even get the screws in half way, long. I think it because the sink it self is flanged and the flower doesn't lay flat no matter how even I go the snap ring pops...ugh. I already hard wire so I can't return...any help pls ty

This was good till the end , (10:10). should have cleaned or even installed a new slip washer, didn't show underneath the sink for leaks.

What if your sink flange does NOT have a spot for the snap ring? We just bought the sink, went to hook up the disposal and theres no snap ring spot like on our old flange
@MendandMake9 ай бұрын
Call the store and have them explain that or show them that spot on my video and see what they say if your going to see them in person. There should be a little groove for it
