LOL!!! I too had my new unhooked dishwasher for 3-4 months before i just installed it last week. I wanted the weather to warm up to not freezing celcuis before snaking my kitchen pipes before installing. I was having problem with my kitchen plumbing backing up into the old DW draining hose.. should be good now.

Great video. While I paid to have it installed, this helped me understand all the steps involved so I could watch the installer. One question: how far out should the front extend from the cabinet and countertop? I have a granite countertop so it is secured to the cabinet on the sides. The top of the door sticks out about ½" beyond the countertop, and the sides of the doors stick out about 1" from the face of the adjacent cabinet. Is this the way the machine is supposed to be set, or should the top be flush with the countertop?

Liked everything but one part. I’m being told I have to plug this into a GFCI outlet. Also previous dishwasher was wired to the house and existing cable goes through the wall and disappears into the floor. The cables are slightly different and it appears on would have to cut them to release it. I can certainly wire the power cable in like he did, but am I creating a hazard?? He plugged straight into a regular outlet.

Is it common for dishes to remain wet or have water droplets at the end of a regular cycle when using extra drying and overnight drying? I had a Maytag that left all the dishes, including plastic items that can be used in a dishwasher, very well and dry at the end of the washing cycle.

Depends but most of the time you will have to open door if it's top control to select the cycle and to start it.

What if you have a tight fit with sink on the left and your sink cabinet has a full drawer on the bottom. I can't get drill that hole according to the template because it will hit the drawer. Thoughts on this? Ths LG is replacing a Bosch that fit fine, and it may be worth noting that the drain tube on the Bosch was thin, like the one inside the bigger one on the LG. Appreciate the guidance.

@@imnotgivingyoumyname810 Easy to install. Just dont forget to loop your draining hose to prevent any backups. I had to buy a 1 meter extension hose in order to do that. Also I am not happy with the drying.. Even with the extended Dry time my dishes are still wet.

My Lg dishwasher is a little deeper than other brands that i have had in the past, i like them flush to the cabinets not the counter and the LG is difficult to get them to sit flush. mine does clean well and is extremely quite!!!

You don't have to necessarily put it on its back but it does make it easier. Also, I highly recommend you adjust the feet to a degree prior to pushing the unit in.

just one issue I encountered with my installation: those legs were installed at the factory super tight. I could not make the front ones or the back one move freely without dislodging them first using hex bit. the back one was on super tight from the factory. you definitely want to check the legs first before installing in the cabinet because you will not be able to adjust the height if the legs are on super tight.

this is the exact dishwasher I'm going to buy...but in white... I'm so paranoid to do things like this on my own....especially dealing with plumbing, leveling...adjusting... etc.... BUYER BEWARE -- After 1.5 year, Dishwasher control panel fails and you WILL have a $800 rock. It WILL start bugging out, goes blank, and does not finishing washing cycle. Or sometimes the lights just go on a fritz before it dies for the day. I saw many reviews stating the same issue. LG is clever though!! LG says their warranty is only 1 year -- so because I'm over by 4 months, they will not pay for labor on the warranty. My dishwasher was $800 and the labor to repair will be $650 because it's "outside the 1 year labor" by 4 months. I also had to call LG twice to even talk to anyone. The first time I called LG customer service, the LG rep FELL ASLEEP during the call. This is LG customer service experience that you can expect if you buy LG. I bet if I opened up this dishwasher, it will be cheaply-glued with poor parts inside. BUYER BEWARE !! $800 rock in your kitchen.
