Best drywall cutting I’ve ever seen! Just with a screwdriver and a hammer !! Mastery right there.

Hi mate. Perth local here also....love watching your work. Quick question. How do you go cutting colorbond on your trailer side like that? Any big scrapes and scratches? Cheers
@dennisperrie5 ай бұрын
@ML6103 it is fine . I do paint over the metal and the bit that rests on the metal is the back seam. on some downpipes I do leave the plastic on to protect it and take it off after (round downpipes especially as they tend to move more)

@@dennisperrie yep nice, makes sense. Used to have old carpet scraps on my trestles when I did patios but there's a few ways to skin a cat
@dennisperrie5 ай бұрын
@@ML6103 I thought of that but on my trailer, it is too inconvenient. I have also toyed with plywood used like a counter but until it becomes a problem i haven't bothered.

Good evening sir! Please show me how to make an offset of downpipe 100 by 100 please!! Thanks a lot.

I will when I get a job using that size downpipe.

Hi , Thank you. Do all makes of drain/down pipes have a small end?
@dennisperrie2 жыл бұрын
Yes or and end that sides into the other with a crimp. I haven't come across a make that doesn't.

Good evening sir! I’m Chanh , I’m very interested you did on your youtube. I got a square rain downpipe 100 by 100 was leaking. I would like to fix it by myself. But I need a female and male for fit it. Please tell me what size for it ! Thanks a lot!!
@dennisperrie2 жыл бұрын
You should still need a 100mm downpipe. It will have a big end and a small end. Check the ends they usually mark the small end. Just be careful because sometimes different brands are slightly different sizes.
@voraxe7 ай бұрын
Hey. Unsure if you still check older post comments :) how the heck do you do a side elbow in this type of downpipe. Mine comes off the side of a custom box gutter.. so bends along the 45 mm side to the wall to bend 90° down. Cheers :)
@dennisperrie7 ай бұрын
so it is the same process except for the measurements. measure the big side measurement and take 5mm off it to get the cut.
@voraxe6 ай бұрын
@@dennisperriecheers. I had assumed when I listen to the video again it would be something like that. I should have just thrown the contractor some coin to do it for me lol. I mean he gave me the downpipes for nothing.

Sorry I can’t find the number of the end. Please show me the number of female and male to connect the square rain downpipe 100 by 100. My one was leaking. I would like to cut a part and joint it. Thanks

Just try sliding one inside the other.

What are the nails with inserts you hammered into the masonry called and are they commonly available? I have to remove some downpipes to replace pvc damaged by whipper snipper.
@dennisperrie Жыл бұрын
They are 6.5mm nylon anchors.
@JustBeYouooh Жыл бұрын
Why don’t you just cut some pvc pipe, make a slit , add some PBAC glue in the inner part and the. push it over the damage pipe ..put pressure on the new piece for 30 sec!
@blurtmenow Жыл бұрын
The repair is for a fitting at the bottom of downtube not a pipe. downtube(rectangle) to round pipe in ground was damaged by whipper snipper .the downtube needs to be removed to access broken fitting. Not a fun job. if there was an easy fix i would go that way. @@JustBeYouooh

Is that asbestos you're cutting into?

no it's hardiflex
@JohnBoyWalton062 жыл бұрын
Doesn’t mean it doesn’t contain non fibril asbestos.

@John Hull but there is no dust and the cut is clean. It is the safest and easiest way to cut the hardiflex

Is it possible to cut the pipe on the other face (the 50mm face instead of the 100mm) and make these bends? Would you use similar measurements?
@dennisperrie2 жыл бұрын
Yes use 5mm less so if it is a 100 face cut at 95mm
@hepburn1182 жыл бұрын
@@dennisperrie Thanks Dennis, I want the downpipe to turn a 90 degree corner from where it is and I am clueless with sheetmetal. Your instructions for the bend you did on the video were great, I just wasn't sure they would translate to folding up the 50mm side. So thankyou again.
