How to install a phono cartridge? (Removable headshell)

I have a fluance rt-85n and replaced the nagaoka mp-110 head shell with a mp-200 headshell last night. On some records it does fine but on other it gets hung up at the very start of the record. It loops of it plays at all. If I nudge it forward it does fine. I adjust the tracking force to 1.5 g as was recommended. I switched back to my 110 and it did fine

I have one of these but I don’t see a marking to align the needle. Does yours have some sort of marking?

Yes, on top of the protractor, there should be a small triangle in the plastic. Try to look for it under different light.

It looks like a notch, right at the top of the long part. So basically, it’s the top edge that I align it to

@@slistone1940 Yes, and in the middle there should be a little triangly thing, like a small arrowpoint. That's what you align it to.
