See im putting mine in the Living room, but its coming from our high-speed Gaming computer. I have to tweek the Resolution on the computer I found out, and a Certain Distance I found, away from the Screen. I tried to Eyeball it... No Sir. U gotta get the Specs, and measure for that Ceiling Bracket. Cuz theres a certain area that you want your Lens to line up with on the Screen, and the Distance away that is calculated by the Dimensions of the Screen. So yal Cant eyeball it. Lol.

I think you tip about placing the bracket at the center of gravity as opposed to the center of the projector is extremely valuable. After all, the center of balance is almost certainly NOT the center of the device because the weight of the various internal components is unlikely to be evenly distributed. I am always amazed at the number of small details that I fail to consider because I am just a layman. Thank you!

Solid work, I have been a home theater installer for about 7 years. At my current company I am the only person who uses anchors to mount projos and tvs they all think im crazy but they just haven't done the research.. I typically use Hilti Toggle anchors which hold up to 124lb a piece and hang 85" tvs with them never had an issue. A lot of people think you need a stud and thats just not the case unless its a full motion articulating mount.
@ianjones35624 жыл бұрын
Good solid advice for this budget projector. A £10 one is just a bit of metal , a £100 mount is one that has fine adjustments to get the best alignment and can take a far greater weight so bear that in mind when buying. Get what’s fit for purpose depending on what level of projector you have chosen.

Nice video. Although sheetrock anchors are strong, for something this expensive, you really should find a joist to make sure at least 2 of the screws are secured. Over time, downward forces and shaking from your home theater subwoofer will weaken the hold of the anchors over time. :-)
@GosforthHandyman7 жыл бұрын
Not necessary with these anchors - they're rated to 15kg each and there's 4 of them - the projector weighs 3kg. I guarantee you the ceiling will fall down before this comes loose.

On the topic of projection distance and projection size, from wall to wall I have 3.3m so say 3m from lense to wall which allows for the bare minimum of project (92inch) is it possible to blow it up or make it smaller or is that what you get and is their no altering projection size

Two long bits of string that are the same length attached to the corners of the screen and pulled tight will give you the exact centre of the screen on the ceiling. If you mark the location and then slide your fingers along the strings (keeping them equal and together) mark again and join the points you have a straight line perpendicular to the screen. Helpful if your room isn’t square...

Just plug in your Chromecast into your receiver's HDMI slot if you want to fully utilise the surround sound offered by films in Netflix, etc. Netflix films will usually come with Dolby Digital Plus, or maybe Atmos. Still have to think about the USB power though. Some new receivers might have extra USB slots for powering it, I reckon.
