Fullrusher - check with 12volt solutions. They have make plug and play units for a number of vehicles including the Rav4s.

6:48 ......So what's that black ring around the ignition? Somebody tried to steal my 2003 dodge durango and that black ring is cut! Has a bunch of little copper looking wires in it?? My truck starts...but shuts right off. Please Help a lady out...Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

I’m guessing it is part of Dodges anti-theft system that senses The chip in the key. If it’s damaged doesn’t recognize the chip in the key and disables the ignition.

i pulled out a compustar CM3000 v2 from a 2002 celica at the junk yard for 22 cad. i want to transplant into a 2000 LC 100 series. when i cut it out i let left over of the Celica wire in at the splice points, do you think it will be a lot of work to install it? does it need an immbolizer? 12v solutions dont have anything for something that old

wow that bulldog unit looks cheap as hell. I personally like Compustar but directed is good 2. Never T-tap people if you cant solder your connections the next best thing would be poke & wrap with electrical tape and two zip ties👍

They're totally out of business now. The kit I bought is the same as yours, and I needed the same box you did. All emails return undeliverable, and all telephone numbers have either been given to new companies/people, or they've gone into telemarketing solely. The number on the insert of my remote starter seemed to reach a residence. All other numbers reached telemarketers, who probably now have MY number and I'll likely be getting a ton of crap calls. But hey... the website's still up.

Don't do it. Get the cars manufacturer's car starter it'll cost more up front but it'll save you in the long run.

This video is four years old and the remote starter still works just like the day I installed it. I never had one problem with it. It should outlive the car without a problem. (The car is getting really rusty underneath and has high mileage.) My only complaint is that the range is short.

This video is actually 4 years old. She never had one issue with it. It outlived the car. She finally got rid of the car earlier this year because it had really high miles and was completely rusted out underneath.
