How To Install a Safariland QLS Fork On The Alien Gear Rapid Force Duty Holster!!!

No you don’t need the adapter. You don’t need to make a new hole in the holster. You put another hole in the QLS receiver. Washers behind the receiver to space it out a bit. I run the Duty holsters on a true north mount.

I'm thinking about buying the same adapter. Do you have any updates now that you have used it for a while with the safariland adapter? Have it worked well, or is it something that you don't like about it?

I have no complaints other than you shouldn’t have to buy an adapter, it should either be included or the holster should support the QLS system from the factory.

No can’t was effected is feels the same it just makes you a little wider.

I would pick up an alien gear but they dont have the configuration I need for work. Sig 226 w/ TLR1 HL

considering the rapid force already comes with its own system , and has a much easier hanger to attach the belt on and off (safariland you have to slide through the belt; alien gear you take off some screws). What is the purpose for this ?

It’s a quick detach system that also creates distance between the holster and the user for easier grabbing. Plus all my holsters are configured this way so I’m not going to have one that’s not if I can help it.

@@OfficerAjax gotcha, I was thinking perhaps opposite might be better but that would take more money. Opposite meaning switch all your holsters to the quick detach of the Alien gear

Ok cool. I was curious because all I have is the qls system. I didn’t buy the belt slide thing from safariland. Figured the alien gear would work but honestly didn’t even think about if it didn’t 😂
