Thanks you! This helped me fit the Sena 50c to my Arai XD4. The XD4 doesn't have the obvious cut out space seen here but there is space in the XD4 pads that lined up nicely for me. After the speakers were placed in the pads it helped to tighten the Arai to fit more like my dirt track helmet (a cheap HJC). This was a plus for me.

Thanks a ton! Used your instructions to install a 10S in a Quantum-X. I run a Small helmet, the speakers were just fine without the spacers. The smaller spacers caused my ears to fold lol.

I find that the boom mike has the best noise cancelation and I recommend that route.

This communicator system is pretty huge and I think it is going to affect aerodynamics. I prefer the slim look of a Cardo unit instead. Anyway, nice tutorial.

Installing this looks like a pain in the ass. Also, the nice thing about these finely made helmets is that they come with anti-micobial material in the lining, but with this installed it looks like it's a chore to remove it if it's not permanent in order to clean and wash the inner lining that's removable then reinstall this system again. My helmet has a BO smell to it sometimes. I need to take out the lining and have it cleaned, but I'm hoping when I buy the Classic V helmet that I won't get much of a smell.

Oh I didn't know that you had to pull that back on the cheek pads hahaha I've gone through 2 intercoms and non fit was too tight and now I know why because don't stick to the helmet but the cheek pads lol

After following all the instructions and finish installing, should the speakers sit next to the chicks and not directly over the ears ?? slots are closer to the mouth and away from the ears. not sure if it is supposed to be this way.

Can you still fit earplugs in, or do the speakers touching your ears block out enough wind/road noise??

You can still run ear plus with a Bluetooth communicator in the helmet. I do this in the winter when snowmobiling and it works great. - Van

Because of the jog dial they aren't completely waterproof, so if you get your self into a sustained downpour it may power itself down. This is by design, as soon as it dries out you are good to go. I have a fair few years with sena -10 series. They are pretty reliable in weather, I have tested the crap out of that one.

Putting the cheek pads back in is impossible

You need to slide the tab on the end of the cheek pad that faces the back of the helmet in place then push down on the front edge to secure it. Give that a shot, it should work just fine. - Van
