How to install a Sheet Metal Register Can or Box for Heating, Air Conditioning, HVAC install

To install a register box take little skill if you take the time to prep. In this video I stress preparation more than the actual install. i also cover the correct way to lap to ensure you have minimal leakage in your ducting system. It is very important to take the size of th register box you are installing and add a 1/2" in your rough framing or opening to avoid a struggle or damage sheet rock. The fellow that refinished our basement didn't install cans. The air flows between the ceiling and floor and not direclty into vent. What can be done?

SM kid, very clear instruction and demo, however mounting with fasteners in middle of flange could conflict with trim fastening.

Every time you bang things on the workbench, the camera shakes. Consider putting the camera on a tripod.
