How do you waterproof the screw penetrations?

Fixing is done through the front reveal only, screw penetrations are then covered by the waterproof bandage that spans over the join between wall lining & the niche.

There are exterior quality sealers that will not crack with age. I've used marine sealant around lamp on wall fixtures around my own home that are still like new 7 years later. 🐻👩‍🔧🇺🇸⚒️🇷🇺

I have seen other videos where they put the backerboard on first then put the niche over the board. You don't do that? Is there a reason for doing it one way or the other?

What kind of sealant did you use? Does the sealant melt the Styrofoam?

How thick is the front reveal? Assuming you will now sheet up to the reveals edge with 10mm plaster, Will the plaster now be sitting more forward than the reveal face or will both surfaces (plaster and reveal faces) be in line?

Thanks for your enquiry , we adjust to thickness of the niches front reveal to suit your wall lining eg. Villaboard 6mm or WR Plaster 10mm

Looks like you installed straight onto stud reveal. Is it easier to install before or after plaster or cement sheet is installed?

The niche can be installed before or after, however before may be easier so you can butt the wall lining straight up to it

If the internal measurement of the niche was slightly bigger it would make it possible to line up the niche with the finished wall tiles. It would only take another 20mm!!!
