Nope I wanted to be able to take it off and just switch out my fender only if I ever needed to so I just used double sided 3m sticky tape there

@gabrielmorcillo89462 жыл бұрын
Ay I need some help understanding so I put a snorkle on my 17 tacoma 4 cyl and I was wondering does the truck have to be tuned ? Cause I noticed after 80 mph rpms is at 5000 on highway. At crusing speed at 70 rpm is right at 3000 all the time. Not much change in fuel which lasts me about a week.
@gabrielmorcillo89462 жыл бұрын
An yes it's a 4 cylinder cause at 18 and 4k down payment the bank said it's this or something on Facebook market and this was in 2017 I was right out of high school

Jesse, curious on why you traded in your 2018 2x4 Tacoma for a 2020 4x4 Tacoma. Was the main reason because you wanted a 4x4?
@wackedout134 жыл бұрын
True it’s not like he’s going off-roading either might as well should of kept the 2wd if he’s going to keep making videos on how to do install. That’s why I like John.goes.offroad channel that guy takes his truck on trails and shows what a 4x4 is capable of
@JesseRizo4 жыл бұрын
I don’t force anyone to watch my videos I simply make them for fun and to help others trying to learn and work on there own vehicles, as you all now I did trade the truck so I’m trying to finish it before I actually start taking it back on the trails I’ve exhausted all the trails near me in my 2 wheel drive so now it’s time for bigger actual trails so if the trucks stock I do not want to risk damaging it. I hope that helps answer the question.
@JesseRizo4 жыл бұрын
I did it because I wanted to start traveling with my family so I needed a capable rig and wel this year as you probably know covid is in excistance now so that’s kinda slowed my cross country travels so I now have to wait but I plan once things start to normalize to start filming my actual overland travels that I do not only offroad videos I help that kinda answers ur question in that

How does this snorkel compare to the dobinsons?
@JesseRizo4 жыл бұрын
Honestly U can’t tell the difference the only thing maybe the material they use is different that’s the only thing I can think of
@v87134 жыл бұрын
Go with the Dobinsons. Fitment was good and install was fairly easy, just time consuming. As long as the plastic is blow molded LD-PE that's UV resistant, you're good to go. The ARB one for instance is almost double the price of the Dobinsons and is a complete waste of money. Everything ARB is overpriced IMO.
@oldspeed6713 жыл бұрын
I got the same snorkel and I'm about to do this. How was the fitment? The holes are a little off from the template. Was yours the same?

the only way that would happen is if when he put your airbox back together either he A. didnt plug in the MAF sensor. B. didnt put the MAF boot on all the way. or C. vacuum hose not installed all the way. But hopefully the code didnt come back since then!
