Nov ' 24.....removed for first time Toto toilet seat to clean due to sewer back up. Well, putting back has become a problem. I cannot engage the hinge to clear the mounting holes. Also debate do you think of flat steel washers underneath with wing nuts ?

Same here! The Church seat had NO INSTRUCTIONS. I had to call the Amazon vendor (a very good seller ) who referred me to Church customer service (a very nice lady ) who sent me a KZbin video that explained it perfectly. A one-page instruction sheet would have been a lot simpler. I can say that without the video I could have NEVER figured it out, and I am not embarrassed to say that!

Kudos to the dude cleaning without gloves on. Turns out not to be my toilet seat that I can't install, but how I wish he has one for my loo seat! Why oh why do they muck around with the design of these danged things? They take an uncomplicated connection and make them big trouble. I have a soft close which I measured to ensure it would fit but can't slide the seat onto the connection "system". At least some will have been helped here :)

Design so different to the one I have that it does not work for me, but otherwise nice and clear. This is the third video I have tried as the instructions with the toilet seat not clear enough.

My Dad took out the old hard and that would slam and startle us every-time we would open and close the seats on our kohl-er toilets in all three bathrooms in my parent's home my Dad bought the soft open and close toilet seats at either Home Depot or Lowe's or Ace Hardware or Walmart Sometime 2013,2014,or either 2015 and they are still standing in the Final Status and is now 23 or 24 year's after they've been changed and Replaced.

Mine closes much faster than that one. I've never seen one close that slow. Thanks for the video! It had been years since I changed one and just wanted to make sure that nothing had changed. I have never seen the little plastic things to keep it from slipping before. I wouldn't have known how to do it. ☺️
