I just picked up an 04 G35 with the bose system. Sound is nice, but the interface is WAAAY out of date, want to go with one of those android double din decks, this is definitely going to be a big help

Man..that is an entailed job ! I don't know if I would chance it..I'd be replacing all the trim pieces after I broke every tab !lol.. You are braver than I !! I would have gone through 4 or 5 tubes of superglue ..by the time I finished..haha. Seriously though..Great Job! Matt.

Thank you. Most vehicles require a steering wheel adapter; essentially it's another component you need to buy and wire in to the system. The owner of this Infiniti opted not to purchase.

What do you suggest if the previous owner installed a stereo and cut the factory harness plugs that connect to the factory stereo?

Do you have a junkyard/auto recycler nearby? If not, I'd try searching on ebay for used parts specific to your vehicle. Once you find a few, contact the sellers and ask if they have your vehicle and if they're willing to cut the wire harness. Used parts on ebay are typically sold by auto recyclers.

The music playing is so LOUD, it's irritating. I had to keep lowering and raising my volume just to hear the guy speak then lower it when the music is playing because it is so loud. Besides that, Thank you for the information and video, it was very helpful.

CarsNToys That makes since. I just connected my radio Almost the same way but the front right speakers is so much lower than the front left speakers. The guy who was working on it before cut the grey, white and grey and white and also the white and black wires on the Kenwood wire hardness but those wires are connected . Do you think that’s the reason why I have low volume on the right side?

We didn't use the optional steering wheel control kit. However, study the wiring diagram. It should list which color wires to tap into.
