Yeah unfortunately it sagged pretty bad. It came like that from the store. Brand new not open box. That and the fact that the 5700XT still had some major flaws were the reasons I returned it. I don't plan to switch to Premiere Pro anytime honestly. I do use Davinci Resolve as well but I'm still learning it as of now so my main one is Filmora. For the editing I personally do, Filmora works just fine. But yeah for the more advanced stuff I have used Resolve. Thanks for watching BTW 🙏

nice , but you can plase something between de card holder and the mountplate of the card (on the under site) till it stands nice horizontal..... its around 1 cm thick . than the under site of the card mouning plate is pressing downwords on that (some black rubber ...or something else) an is so preventing from lower down

I'm using a 4090 strix in an o11 dynamic evo with a z790 maximus hero motherboard, and I'd like to mount the GPU vertically, but I'm wondering if this will make it impossible for me to use a capture card by blocking the other pcie slots. I also have three lian li SL120 infinity fans on the bottom of my case. I haven't bought a capture card yet, and likely won't until a few months from now, but I'm building my PC soon. If you could let me know whether the vertical mount will make it impossible to attach a capture card later down the line, it could save me a lot of hassle converting the GPU from the vertical mount to a horizontal position later on down the line, and I'd appreciate it a lot!

I do believe it’ll block the space needed for a capture card. I haven’t tried it myself but there isn’t very much space back there

I don’t know much about capture cards so I wasn’t even sure that was possible. I just knew of the PCIe ones that mount like a gpu 😅

Yeah the 3090 or 4080 will fit perfectly in this case. Vertical mount isn’t necessary but up to you.

I'm replacing the vertical kit with the cooler master's V2 ones. The lianli's has no back support and with the new RTX cards that are heavy with big heat sinks, I'm afraid the PCB will bend or break since the only thing supporting the whole card is the mounting plate and we know the mounting plate and the PCB is connected with only 2 screws.

On this PC I didn’t notice any improvement or any worse temps. But this case has really good airflow and plenty of space. Having a vertical gpu on a typical case might actually worsen the temps if there’s little space between the fans and the glass.

this kit is weird in my case, I just googled and both my casing and yours are the same but the kit if mounted from the case 2nd hole notch down its hard to push and fit it in due to bottom metal bar unless I put it further down but then I wouldn't be able to fit my bottom fans

Did you get any improvements in temps cuz my friend own 5700xt rog strix and i've got rx 5700 non xt sapphire pulse i don't know if we are the only ones who have bad temps at idle me temps reach to 55 at idle Temps are pretty good on games and benchmarks hit 70° max talking about my rx 5700 non xt. But my friend even same model that you got his temps are beyond 80's. They say that rx 5700/5700xt with these temps are normal. If the vertical mount will fix temps i'll get a verticall bracket with riser cable

It was pretty normal when I had my 5700xt. Ended up exchanging it for a 2070s cause the 5700xt just didn’t support a lot of my softwares for editing etc

@@internet1678 no issues with the ribbon cable besides it not being PCIe 4 supported. If you have issues you may have to go into bios and change it to PCIe gen 3. I’ve never had the issue so I don’t actually know the exact process: I have a 3080 in mine now with this same ribbon cable and still had 0 issues

With Corsair there was maybe a centimeter or so. Any taller than Corsair and it might be an issue. Will also depend on the gpu thickness. With ballistix I had plenty of space. I can check when I get home tho.

Could you verify if is it possible to vertically mount the GPU with an air cooler? I'll check your channel to see if you already did this testing, but I doubt it. I'm using an NH-U12S on my O11D and just upgraded to a 3070 Ti Uprising from PNY, so I intend to vertically mount it to solve sagging and for aesthetics. I do intend to upgrade for a Scythe Mugen 5 or Fuma 2, since with the NH-U12S I can't properly close the side panel (only attach 3 points, leaving the top back attachment lose to close the panel).

I personally wouldn’t use it without the right angle. It will need to be bent too hard and could rip or break. I also don’t believe 15CM will be enough length although I could be wrong.

I have a question about the fans on the bottom. I have the same MB from Aorus. The usb 3.2 header + usb c header are all the way in the middle bottom side of the MB. Was hoping to see how the 5700XT will perform because it is a PCIE 4.0 card. You mentioned that you had it returned because of some issues. Could it be because of the issue with the riser cable incompatible with PCIE 4.0 (as far as I know, the riser only verified to be compatible with PCIE 3.0)? Apparently there will be signal loss whatnot which will cause instability like BSOD, etc.

It performed exactly how it performed when I had it horizontally mounted. I had all those issues with the card horizontally mounted and just couldn’t take it any more. The drivers were still crap and also my editing software is optimized for Nvidia which I didn’t know before I got the 5700.

I was thinking about the kit, because I have the 3090FE, and it uses 3 slots. the Cooler master, Coolmod, and Phanteks all have 2 slots. I'm just wondering how the sag is on each one... or even on this one.. I don't have any fans on the bottom as of yet, Thinking about using 1 fan... to draw air in from the bottom, but should clear the GPU bracket if I go on the further one out.

Yeah without the fans at the bottom your shouldn’t have any sag really since the bottom bracket is really solid. But yeah you’ll still be able to fit at least one fan at the bottom. Wouldn’t be a problem. I haven’t used any of the other brackets so I can’t specifically say how good or bad they are or even how much they’d sag. Thanks for watching 🙏

The performance difference for 3000 series and 6000 XT Series, which are the first consumer cards to utilize PCIe 4.0, give close to no performance improvement when run under Gen 4 compared to Gen 3. @@eduardocosio5964 oops I completely overlooked the fact that some of these GPUs use 3 slots. The cheaper bracket only uses two unfortunately. Sorry about that. However, the Asus Tuf gaming 3080 looks to only use 2 slots in the rear which will be fine. The card is 2.7 slot size but only uses two slots, so either of the brackets will in fact work with something like the Tuf.

You can still use this tutorial for the install, it’ll be the same process. I swapped that gpu to this one because my video editing software is optimized for Nvidia and didn’t work well with the 5700XT.

It’s actually better to leave the PC plugged in, but with the PSU powered off. This way it remains grounded but you won’t power it on with internals unplugged.

It seems like a solid bracket, i may try the link up kit with the 4.0 pcie.. i may just leave it alone tho… it will take away from the aesthetics since the founder cards are not heavy rgb. My main goal was to help bring ny card temps down lower but I dont think it will bring it down enough to warrant spending the $100 Maybe just invest in some better fans and the front mesh, fan supported panel

Great question and unfortunately I don’t know the answer. I believe it can be mounted a bit higher which might clear a radiator but I’m not positive. I haven’t tried or measured for it.

Thermals were about the same in this case. Some cases the thermals will be worse and sometimes it’ll be better. Depends on the overall case airflow. Thanks for watching 🙏

This Gpu bracket looks like trash with that sag. I use the NZXT bracket and have zero GPU sag with a triple fan Asus Strix.

Yeah unfortunately without using that bottom bracket it looks bad. I’m actually changing it out in a week or so for the EZDIY bracket since it has better adjustability.

Yes it is. Without fans would be even better cause then you can use the lian li bracket under the GPU to support it better

If you want to install a vertical mount just get something else. Phanteks makes a realy nice one that fits the O11D perfectly.
