@BuildingWithBlake Жыл бұрын
Thanks for subscribing. Carpet is tricky cause it needs to be stretched. Windows vary by wall (brick, siding, etc.). They need to be flashed and sealed. There’s a lot that can go wrong if you don’t do it right and get a leak. I am currently dealing with one that I prefer not to do myself because of the risk. These are all a bit more complicated than a fence unfortunately. But I will keep you in mind for future videos. Good luck with your projects

Great video with excellent tips! It's not exactly what I was searching for, but it certainly points me in the right direction. I live in a tiny northern AZ town, and we've got plenty of elk, javelina, and other wild critters. My goal is to keep my dog inside rather than having him on a long leash when we're outdoors. He's got a knack for chasing after anything that moves. My house sits on a hill, and the yard is quite sloped and uneven. Your advice on how to angle a fence like this will be a huge help. Your gonna wanna use a wooden post and concretefor a gate. A round tubbing metal cattle with a metal mesh looks and works great with wire fence.
@ghostridergale Жыл бұрын
@@kingyart The wooden posts would be a more proper way of doing a gate, but since this is kind of a Mickey Mouse DIY PROJECT! You can actually make a gate without wooden posts and just use the T posts. I cut the fencing on one side where I wanted the gate to open. Then took two 3/4” wooden fence planks and stapled each one to each side of where the fencing is cut at. Then you can add whatever type of latch attached to the wood planks to keep the fence together across the driveway or walkway. Undo your latches and just pull the fencing back out of the way to get into your driveway or yard. It’s the poor man’s way of getting the job done without having to spend much money and not having to waste much time. This is what I did when I wanted my chickens pinned in on my side yard . I put loops on the side where it was next to a T post so the fencing just not flopping in the wind. Then made hooks that mounted to the plank that was connecting to the fencing you want to open. Then just had to raise the fencing a little to drop the hooks into the loops to close up the fencing. Lift the fencing back up to take the hooks out of the loops to open the fencing back up! Very simple and quick and cost very little to do!

I used zip ties for my fence 3yrs ago and each year some do break and I just put new ones on in those spots. I made gates from a pieces of hog panel, leaving the pieces of wire on one side to bend around the T post like hinges with the gate being wider than the opening so it braced on the other side by the fence and I used a bungee or chain to keep it closed. I did need to put welded wire on it so the small dogs could not go through the holes. It works pretty good once you tweek the bent wire to move on the post easy and you can make a wide gate just as easy as a narrow one. The only downside is it does not move as freely as a real hinged gate but it is functional.
@BuildingWithBlake2 жыл бұрын
