There may be a way to bypass the deactivation wire between the high beams and fog light, however we do not have a plug-and-play product for the Q50/Q70 at this time. Sorry about that!

Hi Paul. So quick question I have a 2015 Q70L. I purchased two DRL harnesses for my Infiniti. I’m being told that I just need one harness for both sides. When I did install the harness I start it with the driver side. After installing a notice that it would only work on the driver side. Was I supposed to install on the passenger side only? Since I did purchase two harnesses I installed it on the passenger side afterwards and now it works as designed. Is the wiring harness different from the Q70 models?

Do you have the LUXE Package? I'm curious as to why you needed two harnesses to have them work properly. I see it is listed as not being compatible for the LUXE Q70L.. But I wonder if that is the work-around.. To use two harnesses.

Can you still switch off the fog lights if you don't want them running daytime as DRL lights or does it bypass the switch so has to stay on regardless?

JRDNGIXX In agreement I love that feature where you can turn on you fog lights with your parking and headlights. You guys should make a module that just unlocks the fog lamps so that you can use them with the drl, parking lights, and headlights but you can also turn it off if you decide you don’t want them on. Ford, FCA, and GM has had this feature standard since the inception of fog lights I don’t understand why every car manufacturer can’t do that.... VW Group, BMW, Mercedes, Nissan/Infiniti, Toyota/Lexus etc...

For focus, we would recommend rotating the collar on the bulb (if you can do so). Typically the filament (or LEDs if you have them) should be facing directly to the sides. Then, we would adjust your aim up at down. We have a video explaining how to properly do this on our Instagram feed!

However, your owners manual should have aiming instructions. Usually it's a screw. You can use these instructions and the video on our page to get the right aim!

Diode Dynamics I just bought a salvage 2017 Q50 3.0t and I went to the mechanic to get new brakes and he said my car is actually a 2.0t even tho it says “3.0t” on the side of my car. So how do I actually know if my car is a 3.0t or 2.0t?

Not sure if it's just my Q50S but when I go to connect to the fog light harness under my wheel well looks way different than yours. I have a much larger metal box and it does not have that heat sink on it like the one in the video. I also don't see any connector that resembles the one I'm supposed to be connected to.

Diode Dynamics I actually found the location of the harness it was directly underneath that metal housing. I had to remove the bottom plastic to access it. You can't get to it via the wheel well. I'm thinking it's because I have the Technology package so there's more gadgets under there.

Agree - I want independent control of the fog lights. Ford's been doing it for decades, why can't Nissan understand the customer needs. I like to run parking and fog lights at dusk/dawn. It makes you very visible to other drivers without blasting them with headlights - it's a safety thing! ....And it looks cool!

With the new indicators that are sequential and can be used as drl, they look much better than the fog lights. Imo the fogs are out dated and don't worth with the face of the car nor match the streamline of the headlights.

Grigor Atikian Grigor Atikian it should because the drls comes on even when the switch is in auto and since the fogs are now in circuit with the drls then they should work as additional drls. And since drls run as long as the cars is on, even in auto, there shouldn't be any issues. Your headlights will just come in when it gets dark. I think he turned it to off to make sure(since the fogs work with the headlights) that it's was the drls running the fogs and not the headlights. With the headlights off and the fogs still running then we are certain the are running with the drls.
