I bought 10 pcs of 2 pin sockets. That's more than enough for the job. I used only five of the 10 sockets, but if you have more splits and connections in your wires, you may use more.

Do you regret selling he XF, and do you get more or less hits with the mazda?

Honestly, I do regret selling the XF. The Mazda is nice but I don't get that feeling in my stomach when I walk to it like I did the Jag. The XF just has that extra specialness about it and one of these days I might go back to a newer version of it, not the latest one, but the facelift in XFRS guise perhaps. They are so scarce I have to wait patiently for an owner to sell theirs.

Any led strip with a ground and live wire connected to it will do the trick. But nowadays there better lights out there with rgb. Just go to Aliexpress website or app and search rgb ambient lighting and you will find many.

Mazda sell a kit but it's a pain to fit. You might was we'll run a wire to your some light. You can use a test light to see which wire on the dome light plug is love when you open the door.

you need to use the F50 fuse in the engine compartment. You need to make your way thru the firewall unfortunately which could be a pain

Yes indeed it does. But only if you have the headlights set to auto. Then everything in the car and outside the car lights up.

I could have done that, but wanted a factory type look. So when the headlights turn on, all ambient lights turn on. I could have installed more ambient light, but got rid of it before I could do it.

Hey John, I recently sold it to a new owner who is doting on it. I had it for five years and it was time to get something new 😉. I will most likely get a used F-Pace in a year or so, so the Mazda is my transient car for now.
