What I'm interested most. Does this fuel tank make the bike less top heavy by distributing the fuel more to the sides and down low of motorcycles?

Own a 22 same colour T7. A 150 to 160km hr run 20 min the fuel gauge will burn away 2 marks on the fuel gauge... T7 can be thirsty!

Any idea if this might fit on a 22 mt07? I have searched the internet and have not been able to find a larger tank for my daily commute! This would be perfect so I only need to pump every 2 days instead of daily! Any recommendations would be helpful, thank you for the great video!

The Acerbis 3.14 fuel tank will not fit on your model.

I have OEM and crash bars, can this be installed without removing them?

You'll probably need to remove them to get the tank swapped out, but you should be able to reinstall the crash bars once the new tank is on. -Charles

We haven't weighed it but with this tank on the bike and filled up, you're only adding about 7 lbs. of weight.

Where exactly does the extra fuel sit different from the stock tank??? Is it lower or more forward?

It's wider on the sides and it doesn't have the cover, so it's bigger overall. -Charles

I put one on a couple of months ago and it's awesome! I also don't remember removing the o-ring when I did mine.. Haven't had any leaks or anything so I hope it's alright. You said 160 miles per tank on the stock tank is all you're getting??

Your O ring probably was stuck to the pump so you are good. I am installing mine tomorrow. Did you get the vented keyed gas cap or the one with hose that came with tank ? Does the tank leak when you’ve fallen? How do you like it still ?

@@Asdfghjkl1234 LOVE IT! I did get the vented locking cap, but it's done a poor job at venting and leaks like crazy from the vapor. Acerbis is sending me a new cap. If that doesn't work than I'll put the stock cap on and not worry about it. The range is unreal - great upgrade!

@@elindenstein thanks very much. Very helpful. We are getting ready to ride the Wyoming BDR in a couple weeks which is quite remote so excited about this install. I bought the lockable cap as well but I am leaning towards keeping the original vented one for the trip since don’t want to experiment with the locking one on the BDR.

@@Asdfghjkl1234 There's a lot of people that have had issues with the vented one so I'd just go with the hose one for this first trip and experiment with the vented when you're closer to home. The leaking was especially bad in hot weather; I just did a week in Yellowstone and it was pretty bad because it was so hot

pretty sure the hose is only there to route fumes through the charcoal canister to "keep it legal".

Great video. I bought the fuel tank and installed it following your video. Love the new found range and definitely the new look of the bike. My only question is the vent hose and using my Mosko Moto Max tank bag. Is there a 90 degree vent hose plastic/fuel hose elbow that can be added to the cap?

Acerbis doesn't have a 90degree vent hose for this tank. But they do have a locking gas cap that doesn't require a vent hose. Lots of people get this cap when they want to run a tank bag: www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/acerbis-locking-gas-cap-p

@@rmatvmc awesome fix. I ordered and received the cap. Now do I simply cap off where the vent hose connected too? Do I remove the one way valve and just cap that off? What can I use to cap off that connection? Got a ride tomorrow and want to get this done. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

@@2WHEELADVLIFE You can either leave the tube or cap it off. If you wanted to cap it off, cut a small piece of tubing off and just melt it shut right where it connects.

@@rmatvmc ok bought the gas cap has suggested but when I use the tank bag Mosko Moto NoMax when I have a full tank (not all the way to the top) it is venting fuel out of the cap and onto the gas tank. I hand tighten the cap. Then use my key. When I hand tighten I stop before it clicks. Just sitting in 70 degree temperatures engine off not riding or moving, this past Friday it started venting gas out of the bottom of the cap. I removed the tank bag and it stopped. Maybe I’m putting the cap on wrong? Please help. I love this fuel tank had to be the best mod I’ve done to this bike. I rode 174 miles and was just at a half a tank when I got into Daytona. Please any help will be much appreciated.
