Great video, loved it and showed me what to expect when it arrives, now my motherboard has a non removeable backplate b550 tomahawk, but it sounds like this should not be an issue. The other other thing i noticed is you said that you took cooler back off then turned cables, this is not a problem for most people, however those of us that run 4 sticks of ram 4x16 will encounter an issue with A1 not fitting, in that scenario the tubes would need to be pointed down and then the display easily corrected in the software! I've been trying to get mine to work for two weeks. I have lights and I have the cam software somewhat working the only thing is it doesn't recognize my device. I have watched every video have read every form and if probably spent personally close to 1:00 disassembling reassembling reinstalling uninstalling all the way up to re doing my whole computer and reinstalling Windows just to get the pump working properly with the cam software. I even bought extra cords extra cables. Then I bought a second pump off of Amazon and they sent me a used one so I don't know if it had issues or not. But I still with that one could not get the drivers installed properly. Cam never shows up on my device ever ever ever. I even have the cam Kraken drivers folder and have parsley installed them into my computer and they still will not take! This is the only thing I cannot get working on my computer is the RGB lights. And the whole reason I bought it was not to have bright white lights in my computer but once to set them to a specific color for my build. It's just super upsetting after so much time and frustration to not even get it working.
@CoalitionGaming Жыл бұрын
It sounds like you either plugged the USB cable that comes from the pump to a defective USB header, didn't fully seat the USB connection into the pump, or otherwise damaged the USB cable. If NZXT Cam isn't detecting this pump, its pretty much specifically USB related so thats where I would focus.
@photobeast Жыл бұрын
I've got the MSI Godlike 590 and I have two USB headers. Both of them cut on the pump and illuminated but the cam software just will not recognize it
@CoalitionGaming Жыл бұрын
@@photobeast you can always try a USB header to USB type A adapter and run it out the back to plug into a USB port. Then there would be no question of the issue. But again, also verify it's fully and properly seated into the mini USB port on the pump itself too (which I'm sure you're gonna tell me you have definitely done but I have to say it anyways).

Was I supposed to connect it to that? Super confused
@CoalitionGaming2 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure I mentioned whether some motherboards have a Pump fan header you can use or just CPU fan header. The answer for that since you're still confused though: whichever is fine. For the fans, I talked about the breakout cables in the video. The fans plug into a splitter that plugs into the pump block. That's all.

Hey I have a quick question for you guys! I bought a liquid cpu cooler with the pump in the the radiator instead of the cpu block. I can only mount it in the front of my case, so should I have the tubes up or down in this?
@CoalitionGaming3 жыл бұрын
Doesn't matter. This video only applies to AIOs with the pump on the block. Pump in rad circumvents the issue.
@masterhunter093 жыл бұрын
Quick question at 3:17. You said to have the tubes at the bottom for the radiator if it's front mounted for maximum longevity. I thought that best practice for mounting was to have the pump head lower than the highest point of the loop to prevent air from getting trapped in the pump head. Shouldn't the tube be at the top so that they're at the highest point. Wouldn't that force any trapped air into the top of the radiator where it won't be able to cause the pump head to have premature wear?
@CoalitionGaming3 жыл бұрын
Tubes ideally at the bottom in a front mount config is the ideal way because this will generally put the radiator reservoir higher than the pump and air trapped in the radiator reservoir is the best place for it, but it doesn't always reach. Tubes at the top in a front mount config is 2nd go that because air stuck at the top of the tubes still let water pass thru without much air in the water just fine. Ultimately yes, as long as the pump/block is NOT the highest point in the loop, either config is fine
@stevengardner95643 жыл бұрын
I won a 3080 in the newegg shuffle that has an integrated water block, so I need to make the switch from fan to water cooling. This AIO model looks like the tubing is prefit just for cooling the CPU. Are there other AIO models for cooling both a CPU and GPU or do I need to buy extra tubing, pull out the stock tubing, and fit it for my system?
@CoalitionGaming3 жыл бұрын
Congrats! You would want to look into a Fractal Design Celsius AIO with a 360mm radiator. It is expandable to where you just need to add the necessary fittings to the GPU block, run extra tubing, and add extra fluid (since undoing the tubing to add new tubing would release some fluid) then seal it back up and you're good to go.

@CoalitionGaming2 ай бұрын
@@gareth1820021 theoretically yes. But tests have shown the overall impact to CPU temps isn't huge. So an AIO system is just plug and play? I don't need to fill it with coolant or configure anything, just install and power up as normal? Thanks
@CoalitionGaming3 жыл бұрын
For the most part, yes.

What screws are you using to screw in from the top, I want to mount my 360 ml mastercooler and the radiator has small screw holes and my pc didn't come with any that fit it, I cant find what I need
@CoalitionGaming2 жыл бұрын
the AIO comes with the screws. They are small ones, possibly come with little washers, very much like the ones used in the video.

i have a question my pc making some noise I think from the AIO I'm not sure how to stop that noise please help.
@CoalitionGaming3 жыл бұрын
The pump/block is supposed to make SOME noise. If it has been working fine then now all of a sudden started making a new noise, something might be wrong. Make sure your radiator is mounted in the top of the case or if its in the front, tubes down like I demonstrated in the video, and see if that helps the sound go away.
@matthewderr3011Ай бұрын
Would the final orientation prevent you from using the first RAM slot? If you were to rotate the pump again to access that slot would you need to reapply thermal paste?
@CoalitionGamingАй бұрын
@@matthewderr3011 yeah it depends on where those tubes end up so be aware of that. No you don't have to reapply the paste. Most do but it's not really needed for a quick remount

I didnt really understand the front mount and top mount. If it is in front you want fan to be on the outside area and be an intake fan while if it is too mounted it would be at the bottom of the raadiator and becoming an exhaust fan

Works either way, do whatever you feel is best

Can someone plz help, just built my first pc, booted up the computer, the bottom three fans, didn’t not turn on except half of the 3. Realized I had a rgb pin left to put. And all three bottom fans work now with rgb. But the kraken fans don’t have rgb. Are those suppose go into the cpu fan or chasis fan pins?
@CoalitionGaming Жыл бұрын
They connect to the fan breakout cable. I talk about the breakout cable that plugs into the pump and has fan connectors coming from it in the video.

I got a cpu fan error fixed that by ignoring in bios. The fan shows n/a in pc monitoring in cam but does show in cooling should I switch the aio pump to cpu fan ?? Its currently connected to aio pump on motherboard

First time builder here. I just built my first PC and have the NZXT Kraken 240, when turned on everything reads well in the BIOS in terms of my fans, storage, and ram. But for some reason my CPU temp is always at 88c and my motherboard reads 27c. What did I do wrong??
@CoalitionGaming11 ай бұрын
Try updating your BIOS. You can also open NZXT CAM once you're in windows and see if the same issue with the way it reads temps comes up and if it does, id double down on suggesting to update the BIOS

Make sure you reference the manual to identify exactly the correct screws and mounting hardware needed for your CPU socket. Just sounds like you are using the wrong hardware.

how to plug a cpu aio cooler if your motherboard does not have cpu_opt and only has one cpu header? can i daisy chain the two fans and the radiator into a three way splitter then connect that to the cpu header?
@CoalitionGaming Жыл бұрын
That's covered in this video for this specific AIO. Are you talking about a different AIO? And if so, which one
@AlmuntasserMohd Жыл бұрын
@@CoalitionGaming its a different AIO called darkflash twister dx-240. the radiator itself only has 3 pins but it has a sata connector for power. the instructions itself says to just plug the radiator straight to the cpu header and the two fans daisy chained together then plugged to any of the motherboard fans. thats how the instruction goes, but im wondering if i can just connect all of them into a 3 way splitter and connect all to a single cpu header. or is that a bad idea?
@CoalitionGaming Жыл бұрын
The radiator does not have any electrical connections. Its just fans and pump. The fans you can plug into two individual motherboard fan headers, or daisy chain them then plug them into a single fan header. It doesn't matter what header, just go into your bios and set the fan curve for that specific header the fans are on so they operate the way you want. For the pump, you plug that into the CPU_FAN header if no CPU_OPT or no AIO headers are present. The pump should operate at a fixed RPM and thus its not a good idea to put the fans and pump on the same header. In BIOS, set the CPU_FAN header to just run at maximum at all times and thats it.

Do these AIO radiators share a standard bolt pattern? Do the screw holes go all the way thru the radiator? I'm trying to fit a radiator to an older Lian Li case. I think I'm going to have to mickey mouse a setup to mount a rad into the 5.25 drive bay spot. I already measured and it has plenty of room to fit the radiator. I just need to figure out a bracket solution now...
@CoalitionGaming Жыл бұрын
Most of the time yes since the bolt holes have to line up to typical 120mm fan (or 140mm fan) bolt patterns. The holes generally do not go all the way through though as that can risk puncturing the radiator.

So the three pin comming out the breakout cable goes in to the 4 pin cpu fan header?
@CoalitionGaming Жыл бұрын
I believe the fan breakout cable comes out of the pump and the fans connect to that, and the pump has a pwm fan header that usually goes on the CPU fan header or AIO pump header if you have it
