Hi mate, great video very helpful. Is the metal sill tray required under AS/NCC 2022 for a timber cedar sliding door going into a house extension that will have fibre cement cladding?

A useful video, but there is a flaw. He makes a tray with the damp-course that he then bends upwards and sits flush with the inside of the aluminium frame. So far so good, but...how does that work given that the timber reveal is wider than the aluminium frame?

I ran into same issue. Cut 2 x slots in the bottom of the reveal to allow the back edge of the sill tray flashing to slot up into the cut.

Maybe not. You might need wall frame and door opening prepared first.
