Cool video. That said, am I missing something? Why wouldn't you fasten the hose from the aux tank onto the big fitting that you're plumbing onto the 1 and 3/4 " line before you install that big fitting and then have to wrestle that little hose and hose clamp on after the fact? Just curious.

Hey guys, great video on the tank install. I've installed 3 them in my trucks over the last 5 years. Always fun drilling holes in a new truck, right? One thing I did change on mine was I replaced the nut and lock washers, that came with the install hardware, with nylon locknuts. Not sure that it's that critical, but with the nut/lock washer going up against the spring and not tightening it down tight, I worry about the nut backing off as the tank/bed flex and the spring compresses and decompresses. I probably worry too much. 🤷‍♂️ And another thing. If you guys would buy for trucks, the holes are easier to drill in the bed. 🤦‍♂️ Aluminum! Scares the crap out of me how easy you can punch a hole through it. 🤣

It already had foam under it. But yes you need to put something under the tank
