Need an occupation senor as suppose someone leaves on that light? And It CANNOT vent up into the attic unless you want proper proper issues. Imagine mold up in there. How would you fix it?

Can i install a 40 watt fan in the same way? Is there a watt limit to a light connection?

Instead of connecting live and neutral of the fan to live and neutral of the light directly, can you connect the lives to a wago connector and the neutrals to another wago connector please? Would that work also?

Is this dude an electrician or DIY, im not an electrician but wouldnt you put a new light that had its own positive and negative holes for the light plus the ones for fan. putting the extra wires doubled up in one hole is that safe , will the light flicker or other problems ?
@ecologicaltime

light cannot flicker unless your globe has failed. They both fed from same source.

And where are there smelling moisture is going to your attic or the space between the ciling and roof (good job)

this is installed in a dry climate country. you can install a foil flexible pipe and vent it outside

@@ecologicaltime That is the only way to do so in my opinion. Sloppy to just vent it into the roof.

In countries with hot, humid weather we don't make houses with insulation or attics only concrete and blocks so it goes into to the ceiling Which is the roof and straight into the air 😁 thank you for the video, so hard to find something like this and give me an idea of how 🤷🏾‍♀️

@@angyabrego but in SA all ceilings have vents, just link it directly to vent. It does get cold in SA and moisture would be a problem.

where is the air extracted to the roof space?
@ecologicaltime
@ecologicaltime 6 жыл бұрын
in the video it goes into the ceiling gap between the ceiling board and the roof tiles. If you do not have this space, you will need to do the through wall option or use an extractor pipe. You can also install in a window frame, although you will need to cut...

What is the point in just putting the extractor fan in the roof space without extracting to the outside? You have just moved the bathroom problem to the roof space. bloody hell if your an Electrician use your brain. Electrics are a thinking mans profession.
@ecologicaltime
@ecologicaltime 2 жыл бұрын
in many houses the ceiling to roof area is large and does not need a pipe to the outside. This is common practice. Hotels also use this method as there is no passage to the outside from a bathroom and if there is no extraction then the wall paint and any wood etc gets aged

no ducting, straight into the ceiling. In homes in South Africa, there is a lot of space in the ceiling and we dont usually have a room in the ceiling.

Nice, filling your attack with toilet smells that will eventually permeate into your house? should be vented to outside without doubt.
@ecologicaltime
@ecologicaltime 4 жыл бұрын
How can the smell permeate back from ceiling into whole house? No dont have this issue at all. In my country there is a large space in the ceiling and you do not need ducting. In a building or house with loft, then yes but regular homes with gapped ceilings it works fine. (unless you had hot curry then no system, can solve that...)
