Cameras work well, and after setting up the first one, the others were EZ! While I noticed each unit contained a small memory chip, there were no written instructions , so I’ll call Cove Tech Support. Otherwise, the pictures very clear, and In live-mode, you can swipe your fingers outwards on your phone screen and zoom in on the subject. Very cool!

Do the batteries usually come charged already upon opening the box?

No they don’t, you’ll need to buy a 3rd party charger to charge them or have Cove send you one which is sent after you receive the camera and takes about 7-10 business days. My outside camera batteries were almost dead when they arrived. I ordered a 3rd Party charger from Amazon Fenix ARE-4. You have to charge the batteries for at least 6 hours.

With a 3rd Party Charger. You can request one from Cove after purchasing the camera or I bought this brand from Amazon Fenix ARE-4. I bought one because it was going to take up to 10 business days to receive the charger from Cove and my system was installed yesterday. The charger from Amazon will be here Thursday.

@@yanirazavala6722 camera seems great so far. I was just able to fully charge the batteries and use the camera at full capacity.

I am reviewing this - I really hate the battery idea. If the cameras were solar with rechargeable batteries, I might go for this. You also need to include a woman representative showing how to install the camera's on the outside.

Literally the worst system I have ever used. (Not the same company) turns out, “Alarm” and “vivent” both utilize the same units and camera...... *and they are abysmal.* Literally have been through two security system that utilized both systems. Sensors went dead after a month. (Got a replacement and worked for a few months no issues). Replaced the batteries after 3 months and door sensor stopped working after that. Was sent a THIRD sensor (and it took a few weeks, whatever) and turns out THEY DISCONNECT FROM THE HUB UNEXPECTEDLY. Had turned the alarm on and SURPRISE the sensor didnt actually sense the door. (Had new batteries, everythin.... nothing.) so said fuck it, ive got two more sensors. Next thing you know, im getting calls FROM MY OLD HOUSE SAYING WE HAVE AN ALARM ALERT........... *I SOLD MY HOUSE YEARS AGO AND IM GETTING ALARMS FROM OTHER PEOPLE? THE HELL IS THIS?* The main hub is also unreliable (mine came with bugs cause it would ARM ITSELF FOR NO FUCKING REASON. (Had it happen twice, not alot but WHY!!!???) if you see these units for any other company, or if a company is offering this to you, DO NOT BUY IT!
