Years ago I worked as a technician at a trailer shop. We had a customer, a lady, that needed a towing package installed on her truck. (i.e. brake module, and electrical connections). She had taken it to a dealer, Ford I think. They quoted her somewhere in the neighborhood of $500. They stated they would have to install the wiring harness as part of the cost. I can't remember why she didn't use the dealership, but she came to us instead. Anyway, my boss, being an honest person explained to her that her truck already had the wiring harness installed from the factory. The dealership had to have known this. I think we did the job, total (brake control, plug, labor) for about $200. My boss could have easily scammed her. But he didn't. I gained even more respect for him after that. I appreciate that you are willing to share your knowledge and expertise.

Bro, I love your videoing style. No ramble talk that has nothing to do with it. Straight to the point. Keep em coming for the Forester, brother.

I had the fog lamp kit from Subaru for my 2011 for at least 3 years, read the instructions and thought i needed to pull the airbag and fully remove the front bumper so i didnt install it. Watched your video and it was done in a day. Fantastic! Great work... Thanks!

Hi Dennis, I have a 2011 forester also I tried installing the relay today but I got lost when I saw there’s a relay there already I was wondering if you had any problem with this ??
@kwijibo643 жыл бұрын
@@xaviersanchez9483 had a quick look and can see 2 relays on left side and 1 on the right that were there originally. I then added mine on the right but put it in the second from the bottom up but had to move it to the third from the bottom up on the right side. Hope that makes sense. I guess if there’s one there already it doesn’t need another one?

I know this is an older video, but I have a 2011 Impreza 2.5i without fog lights. The fog light housing and stalk is the same, so is the interior (as I'm sure you're aware), do you know if my Impreza is wired for fogs from the factory as well? Would following your video on this Forester give me the same results? Thanks!

Do you need a new headlight stalk to make them work at all? Or can you just use full headlights OR parkers to get them to work? Is there another way around this? I'm finding it difficult to get a stalk for right hand drive that had a fog light option.

Excelente tutorial.
