i have MXQ PRO 4k 5G box with 2gb ram and 16gb memory. it was working good but sudden it stuck on blue light and android boot screen only. i tried to do hard reset but seems that reset button which is available inside AV slot is also not working. i have downloaded latest firmware and uploaded the same on my sd card with Burn Card Maker and then i tried to upgrade firmware with sd card after connecting my sd card into USB card reader and then to MXQ Box. but still it shows only android on screen and blue light in box. Any advise or suggestion please....????????? its Rockchip RK3066 . please help me. also my box do not connect to Laptop (window 10) i think this is due to reset pin not working.

Can you explain ( in detail please) how your box ( after you wiped it clean ) “ nothing on the box” - that when you booted into recovery, that TWRP 3.11 zip , and a TWRP folder were still on the box - and how do you put the TWRP zip on there to start with - thanks Appreciate the slow and “ down to earth “ way you explain things- no rushing through it , rather you explain each step ( I’ve watched this at least 10 times) - PS - I’m about the same age as you , and I to enjoy learning what I can about these boxes Thanks

If your box does NOT Have an operating system installed, then you will have get into the recovery menu, by using the toothpick method. The screen will look like this at the time marker of 9:40. You will have to have a TWRP zip file that is made for your device, copied to the root of a microSD card that is formatted as a fat32 file system. When you boot up your box, you should be depressing the reset button, with the microSD card installed in your box, it MAY boot into the recovery menu. If it does boot into the recovery menu, then you can install TWRP from that recovery menu.

Thanks again for your help- i have had success making backups and restoring firmware with TWRP, -- BUT i have NEVER had any luck installing a ROM with TWRP. Every time it says something about a number 7 error. The only way I have had success is using the amlogic USB burning tool- obviously its not a big deal , but I do enjoy playing with the tv vox and trying to learn a little along the way - thought you might have an answer or suggestion. I tried restoring a Abox A4 with the original firmware and the box died. It would load into factory recovery fine but when I put the files on the sd card the screen flashed with a little colorful Android guy and the screen went blank. The box wouldn't power up after that.

But this is good info. I saved the TWRP file for future use and I do have the usb burning tool. Just finding firmware can be a bit of a pain in the ass with so many boxes and variants on the market.

No meu V88 Mini II instalou, mas quando entra no modo de recuperação via TWRP, o mouse e o teclado NÃO estão ativos, agora mortos e a tela TWRP fica pequena e não tem opção de aumentar. ​@@clarkss12 It was just recovery that was bricked but the firmware wasn't so I downloaded old version of TWRP app and flashed TWRP recovery image inside app and it is working. Sometimes you can't install TWRP recovery through stock recovery because it gives you error so TWRP app can be easy solution.

That device is a very popular device. There are modded versions of the firmware, WITH TWRP. Search on Freaktab for your box model and you will find some great modded firmwares. It is very hard to brick your device......

Also, have you tried CoreELEC or LibreELEC media center on your box? It runs off a microSD card, and does NOT touch your Android OS. Your box, makes a great media center.

Make sure your your twrp setting are set to zip and not img, you have to change that setting, because the default is img.

Mesmo quando o TWRP aberto, na opção de escolha para o dispositivo para fleshar, (SD CARD - USB OTG e o primeiro), clico nessa opção de .img ou .zip, NÃO altera nada, continua TODAS opções em 0 MB. Isso ja aconteceu com outra box, MX9 processador RockChip RK329Q. Não sei o que estou fazendo de errado e ou, ou que tá acontecendo, o fato é que NÃO consegui até hoje flashar uma box tv usando o TWRP. Só tive sucessos com smart phones.
