Thanks man, If anyone is wondering how to make it go full screen you basically have to go on corner of the screen that is being displayed by the player and extend it multiple times until It covers all of the screen at least that is how I did It.

Just an FYI for people trying to use this for streaming services. This probably won't support The Android TV OS DRM services for HDMI HDCP. I don't think services like Netflix and Disney+ will work. If they do you may be limited to lower quality content. Happy to be proven incorrect.

@@ColmGallagher-DoveDev the res of the tv is 4k but im not so sure about the disney + app. I dont think its true 4k because its quite grainy. Its like theres a film grain filter or something on it but ofc there isnt. You have to make sure the amount of resources set to the tv is quite alot. I ended up giving up because i couldnt remove the fake tv border thats on it, so its not in fullscreen

@@sleepy5997 it's possible the grain effect is from the Disney+ app or or some other layer of the application stack scaling up a lower resolution stream. I am just speculating but it is the kind of thing that would be expected if the HDCP is not available and they choose to not outright block the app usage. Blu-Ray and DVD player do a similar thing and often limit you to 1080i or lower if the HDCP chain has been broken

When your pc can run windows 10/11 smoothly then I think installing/emulating Android tv is an absolute downgrade.

The point is to be able to use Google TV features from your couch. Windows isn't good as an android box or streaming device at all

The streaming devices in the market support Dolby Vision, Atmos, HDR 10+ like things but a old pc wouldn't be able to do that all, so installing/emulating Android is just a downgrade because both the apps availability and the overall functionality of Android tv is much worse than PC acc to my personal experience.

warum sollte man das tun, es sei denn du bist entwickler? alte PCs neues leben geben? bei den strompreisen kaufe ich nach nem jahr ne android box die das hauptargument überhaupt ist einen android media center zu haben: Dolby Vision Licenced hardware for DOVI LEVEL 7 FEL Compatibility. ohne das di ganze zeit das bluraylaufwerk durchpowerd. für jeden anderen zweck tut es doch eine VM wie die von android studio. drüber hinaus sollte man bei isos die von "some guy from youtube" hochgeladen werden extrem aufpassen und schon garkeine account-logindaten dort eingeben...

It's basically an emulator so you'll have open the app yourself whenever you boot your computer, so no, except you install it directly to your ssd/hdd
