You must erase the entire name when saving as. Then after writing you batch file always write .bat at the end like sugar.bat. And before saving your archive with that name, theres a an space below the name that says the property formart of your file wich is normally txt by default. Click there and change it to all files. Then to confrim just look at the properties of your batch file and if it works

Tried to install PDFgear this way and found that despite that first pop-up window asking for run as admin was bypassed, the few seconds later it asks for admin rights again. Is it possible that the program im trying to install has some sort of "sub .exe" file that starts after the first .exe is bypassed? If so, wouldn't it be possible to add more lines into the created .bat file to bypass the second pop-up window?

The second method actually works, but I had to set the destination folder in my documents or desktop, it doesn't work on any other drives

got to the "windows" and type "file exploere options" and open it select "view" option unmarked the "Hide extensions for known files types"
