Thanks for the video, but you missed a few key points: (1) how does the unit work for responding to situations that require a microphone: such as (a) Siri or Android equivalent, and (b) phone calls? (2) How is the quality of phone calls with the the device? (3) What is the quality of the audio connection to the car stereo? FM connections are notoriously bad. (4) Can the CarPlay screen connect by bluetooth to the car stereo, and if so how is the quality? (5) Can the CarPlay screen connect by AUX cable to the car stereo, and if so, how is the sound quality? Thanks for the video, but it would be great if you had more details about these topics.

many cars including old beater cars, you can still hook your phone and music up to the cars speakers. For example, a 2003 Toyota Corolla, plain simple beater car, most likely does not have modern connectivity features like Bluetooth or USB audio input. You can use an AUX cable and possibly a Lightning to 3.5mm adapter. You could also use an FM transmitter as well. Just simply plug the FM transmitter into your iPhone's headphone jack or use a Lightning to 3.5mm adapter if needed. Set the FM transmitter to an unused FM frequency. Tune your car’s radio to the same FM frequency to hear your iPhone’s audio through the car speakers. Keep in mind many older cars including older corolla's and camry's may not have this built in, but these features are easy and cheap to retrofit. And you might be suprised, many cars have already had this retrofitted which comes down to luck. I personnally would get apple car play though as it can come wit reversing camera modifications (I kinda suck at reverse parking), but other than that, I think I could easilly get by fine without it. That said, radio, apple carplay or not, your car still gets you around from a to b. Thats all that really matters innit... except having a motor, airbags and seatbelts I guess, but my parents grew up with none of that fancy stuff and somehow survived.

There is not a huge difference between the external screens, they all made in the same plant, same hardware just different brand names. So really depends on the size you want. None of them have any theft feature, at least I never seen one.
