How to install Atmosphère CFW, Hekate, and Homebrew | Switch TUTORIAL

Hillo folks! New tutorial here! In this video I'll be covering the basics of using homebrew on your Switch. Whether you're new to Switch modding or returning to it for the first time in a while, this guide is for you. This guide goes over the setup of Hekate, TegraRCMGUI(payload injector), Atmosphère CFW, USB file transferring, and where to place homebrew apps.
The computer sections of the video are being done on a Windows PC. If you are using a Chromebook, Mac, or Linux, that's okay. You can still follow along.

I have been using and updating hacking software for years for many consoles and handhelds and i needed to update my switch and I did it how I always do it, but it was not working no matter what I tried and this seemed to work to get me back into atmosphere and homebrew. As I smirk knowing that I'll never use my switch online. And immediately make an unamused noise when my switch's serial number's prefix doesn't even show up on the drop down to learn if mine is patched. Apparently it's too recent. This makes me sad. I wanted to mod ToTK.

Just installed a mod chip on my patched switch using a $10 soldering Amazon kit lol. Just buy a $7 soldering practice kit and fill the board up to get used to the technique & you should be fine if you take your time

Hmm. My biggest issue is that I do want to turn off my Switch from time to time for long travel sessions. I go between America, Germany, and Japan fairly regularly. I'm looking for a way to boot into Atmosphere by default without needing to inject the payload every time my Switch is turned off. I know this video was posted only 7 months ago, but do you or anyone reading this comment know if that is possible at this point? I know in the "Booting Atmosphere CFW and the Homebrew Launcher" section you said I would have to inject the payload every time. But I'm wondering if there is a new way, or something that can be added to the SD card in order to just boot into Atmosphere by default.

Have a problem with playing games. Get "this user cannot play this software" notification. Have console as my primary console. Everything else seems to work. Just cant get any games to play. Is it a problem with the linked nintendo account? not sure whats wrong.

My Pokemon game (BDSP, Violet, etc) saves are on the SD card. For some dumb reason the Pokemon series doesn't allow cloud saving. How do I preserve my saves? Do I just transfer my save/file to the console storage? Or drag the files onto my PC? Thanks.

Is it possible to multitask after the hack? Switching from a KZbin video and a game would be helpful for example when stuck on a level. My son always asks for our phone to watch a walkthrough of a level when he's stuck.

If you enable in hekate auto rcm mode in the options, you will not have to use jig to start the payload.

With the OLED Switch, once I install the mod chip, to install the applications (Hekate, tinfoil etc.) on the actual switch you just drag & drop onto the SD Card, then put it into the switch & the payloads are automatically executed right? So i don't need the TegraRCMGUI application to run on my PC?

I've been running into issues. After I plug in my RCM Switch in after installing the driver, it shows RCM K.O showing that my switch is in the mode but for some reason it says that the driver wasn't installed. I've tried uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it, but still the same results. Any assistance?

yes, you will have to enter RCM and inject the payload every time the system is turned on again
